if that was a gene you could breed in to more vigorous plants though, no need for topping? cool stuff, plant mutations are always interesting

Would be good, I just don't think it's reliable. I think I do have a clone of it, and this has yet to happen to it. Unless it follows in its mother's footsteps and does it at 18in? Even so, it's still weaker than the other plants even with this mutation.

Edit: Now that I think about it, if I could get the mutant to herm, then pollinate my biggest plant, I potentially get a bunch of feminized giant/mutant crosses? Just a thought.

yea honestly after seeing your pics i would prob digress on using that plant to breed, ALTHOUGH i wont say i wouldnt clone it and grow it out a few times to see if i could get more vigorous growth off it, im sort of a gene nut when it comes to cannabis though, im the guy that makes all the strains everyone around his town smokes, i refuse to sell out and start a company though, if i was selling seeds, i wouldnt sell them i would GIVE them away, cannabis genetics to me is not something that should be sold for profit, they are for everyone.

That's what's up. I'm definitely interested in breeding that's for sure. Just gotta figure out my space and lighting. Probably get it set up in the next few months.

You definitely have a point in growing it out and see how it does again. It's very possible it got overshadowed by the one next to it that caused it to be weaker.

thats good best of luck to you with it, we always need more breeders in the community i think, a little advice i would give is the best breeding chambers IMO are outside in the field and learn how to grow the strains you want to breed REALLY REALLY well first before you decide to breed them, it takes alot of time and patience to really make HIGH QUALITY good strains, it really does, i will sometimes work on projects for 2 years and scrap the entire thing because i dont like a certain trait that i cannot eliminate, when if i would have grown the strain enough times out really really well, i prob could of saved myself 2 years lol

Did they split just once or multiple times? I have mine topped so it has 2 stalks, but the opposite stalk doesn't have this mutation. Neither does any of the branches.
I never topped it, but it runs throughout that entire branch. So I cloned the branch.
It's like it topped itself almost, except the stalk gets so fat around both stems. I like it
so far, I just hope it does well in the end.

If the end product is primo> then I'd say that's a healthy mutation
I've never seen that before though. Pretty cool if you ask me

Yea I definitely won't take it lightly. I like to do things to the best of my ability. Funny how this "illegal" plant is what got me into horticulture. I did not care for it before growing MJ.

Honestly I'd rather have what you have. AK48 is still my favorite strain out of what I've grown (which is only a few). I just loved the high it gave.

We'll see what happens. They've only been flowering for a week now. 2 weeks for the big one (another good trait; flowered fast). So yea still got a couple months to see the results.

Yeah that happened to my clone too wanted to know why myself. I found that if you take a clone and slice the stem in the center near your cut it will do this 1/10 times and split into two just like yours. Be careful, you can lose a lot of cuttings this way too!
