PH imbalance or deficienceis?

Hello, i have not phed any of my water for my grows so far and have used no nutrients. I wanted to see if someone could identifiy Nutrient lock out or just a lack of nutrients or other before I start my next grow with my new ph gear. I also plan to feed during flowering with FFoF's tiger bloom. I know yellowing is to be expected at the end but something tells me my plants are alittle to yellow at the end.

Soil: FFoF
Lighting: CFLs
Feeding: None, straight tap water, not phed.
Temps: Highs of about 89.

The yellowing was seemingly effecting the fan leaves only, turning them bright yellow with dark purple vains.
I just realized that salt build up from fertilizer being used from the amended soil would change the PH over time... Is this the result of a grow with no PH testing and flushing? Soil completely devoid of nutrients? Soil with locked out nutrients?

Temps seem a little high. I'd try and get them in the 70's if possible. Did you feed any N during flower? How many weeks in flower? If you still have a few weeks i'd give them a shot of N to try and maybe green them up a bit before final chop. Does your water have chlorine in it? If so, are you letting it sit for a day or so before applying?

I think it's a combo of two things: nutrient depletion and junk salt buildup. I would flush until my TDS stabilize, then feed with a complete hydro-style nute package. cn

I fed no nutrients to the plants. Im sorry I forgot to mention its 2 plants in the same pot. The water more than likely has chlorine in it and I haven't let any water I used sit before use. The trichs wheres where i wanted them and the sample I took a week earlier was very pleasant so I chopped last night. The effect is great, it smells like straight grape cool aid.

Glad it worked out for you. Next run let your water sit out overnight to get rid of the chlorine.

So to fix this problem next time, say 3 - 4 weeks into flower. Is flush away salt build up then amend with a PH corrected nutrient solution?(Tiger Bloom) I have'nt used my PH control kit yet and am inexperienced with dealing with PH is why I ask.

Can you explain how to test the TDS of soil? I just looked at TDS meters but look like there all for testing liquid. Do you test the run off like you would to test the ph of the soil? Im woefully inexperienced with PH, TDS/PPM

Get that new pH gear out and test the water that you have been using. My guess is that the pH of your water is high. I have seen tap water test as high as 9.0 ph and if un adjusted, you can get poor grow results as shown in your pic.

Thanks for the info timbo, i'll test my tap water first and see what i've been feeding my plants for 2 or 3 months. (All my ph gear and other new goodies are in the mail. My xmas present.) Else i'd do it now and let everyone see what inexperience looks like =)

You need to drop them temps, anything over 90-95 starts to kill the thc off the plant, It should be at 68-72

Yes; I test the runoff. When i flushed, i'd gather periodic samples of runoff and note the trend.

Tiger Bloom is neither complete nor balanced. In early flower I'd feed NPK ratios of about 1-1-3. A two-bottle solution would be DynaGro "flower" and CalMag. I like Botanicare's. cn

Thanks for the info everyone. Right now im unable to vent my tent outside the room its sitting in so it peaks out at about 89-90 with the tent closed up and venting into the room. Im working on solutions for this that do not require holes in the walls/ceiling.

Is "keeping the room's door open" an option?

Aye, I keep the door open mostly and is necessary to keep the temps at about 88-89 peak. The biggest problem is the room is upstairs so say in the summer its even harder to keep the temp down.

The only reason i was looking at Fox Farm products is because its the olny line i've found localy Would the 3-pack of there line, (Grow, big bloom, tiger bloom) and a jug of cal-mag be a good starting off point for nutrients?
