Asking for guidance . . :] im newb

Hello i'm here to ask for help. I was curious about growing marijuana so i tried it without asking anybody. I used some of the seeds i got from a friend and put it in a plastic pot full of soil. So . . its been 2 weeks now and i have no idea what im doing. What i did was i just left them near next to my window where the sun is always shining. I water them from time to time but one time for 4 days i just basically left them alone cause of work. . . . well yeah i'll just post their pics . . please any advise would be helpful i wanna see them grow hehe i'd feel bad if i had to just throw them away . . their so cute o.o . . .

er . . i forgot to mention that i live in a small condominium so . . yeah space is kind of a problem . . im in south east asia . .

It will make a great house plant but if you want any buds off that you will need to get some lights and a proper set up going. You should have researched what you are getting into before you did anything with those seeds in my opinion.

you need more light and you need to seperate them into their own containers. bury some of the stem so they are not so stretched looking and it will also help support them. make sure they are getting at least 18 hours of uninterupted light per day.

yeah these pics are 3 days old . . but their growing really well . . i'll separate them once i got the time . . maybe 3 days from now . . thank you for the advice :] i'll keep updating this thread about my plants . . . oh question i noticed their roots are really long cause the plastic container is transparent and i can see their roots are like around 5 inches is that normal?

its best to use a dark container. and yes its normal for the roots to grow and the importance to seperate them sooner than later or you will have to untangle the roots and most likely damage them.

the first thing you need to do is get your plants in there owen pots. as a rule of thumb(only 1 plant per pot.) if you keep all those plants in the same pot they wil compeat with each other for any nutrances in the soil . the sooner you trans plant them the better. you need to get it done befor there roots become entangled.get them under some lights.the next time tou start a grow germanate the seeds first.

my professor a botanist once told me its sometimes its good to have 2 plants in one pot to keep them strong . . i guess that not true?

no also if they were from reg seeds what if ones a male cant just chop it because roots will rot

you need to seperate those and do it TODAY. Load a bowl and prepare to do a lot of reading. There is soooo much info on this site to read that you don't really need to ask questions. just keep reading.

Maybe go grab a small grow cfl, separate them into red solo cups and keep them under 18 hours of light. This will at least give you a bit of time to do some research. I found the Grow Journals section helped me with some advance questions I had. A ton of other information there as well. Check for some feeding charts here as well so your plants don't get malnourished. Good luck dude :weed:

Just to update . . lots of my babies died . . this is one of the eldest 1 and a half month old . . . and i still have 7 seedlings they are growing strong very healthy and hungry for the sun hehe . . so yeah i dont use artificial lights on these them .. . just natural sun light . . . Can someone please teach me how to make it so i don't use soil . . cause i saw these plants at the mall they were growing from some type of rocks . . with out soil . . and i wondered if i can do that with my babies . .
