Tin foil is most definitely not aluminum foil. Tin foil is made from Tin. Aluminum foil is made from Aluminum Everyone knows this apparently but you. I mean if you were correct then packages of aluminum foil would be called tin foil, but they aren't because they aren't made of tin.

ah er Harrekin we did use tin foil at one time but replaced it with aluminum primarily after WW2. For some reason the name stuck in some parts of the US and most of UK. I knew what you meant but tin foil does exist and it isn't aluminum foil.

Yes but mark true tin foil is still produced today and used for various trades. You can still order it from your local plumbing, hvac commercial dealer.
