Am I bad person?

So I went to visit my grandfather yesterday at his retirement home.

He is a great man, very smart and a great speaker. Anyways, he had a stroke and now he is a wheel chair and his speech is really messed up, but his mind is still there, he just can't take care of him self anymore.

Anyways, at the home they have a "pub night" and let the folks there have 2 drinks max. So he tells me about it and how sometimes he just wants to get drunk and wanted me to sneak in a bottle of wine for him.

So I know it is bad for his health, but at this point does it really matter? Would I be a bad person if I brought him a bottle of wine?
At this stage in his life it's only fair he has what he desires, if you speak to the staff at the home and tell them that's what he wants and that's what you are going to get him I'm sure they will be fine with it and he will be supervised whilst he enjoys his drink, depriving someone in his condition something that will make him feel happy and normal would be cruel and the home should appreciate that, he's your grandfather and this request may be the last thing you do for him.

This reminds me of when my grandma was getting ill, she was 93 when she pasted, the doctors said for her to make it longer she would need to be on a strict diet. When she wanted steak, hamburgers, chili cheese fries. She fuckin got it. Why can't you eat what you want at a certain age? You're goin to die anyways, why not go out happy?

Ask your self this: What if he wanted cannabis? Would you bring it to him?

Not a bad person at all. I would bring it to him if I was in your shoes. Lord knows if I ended up in a retirement home I'd want someone to bring me all the things I'm not supposed to have there.

I thought the guy was in a retirement home, not high level care assisted living or hospice. Big difference.
A retirement home is the last stop in your life, a hospice people no you are their to die shortly,a retirement home they also no you are going to die but they don't advertise it and pretend all is well, how do I know this? I used to manage one that's the only difference, people in my home got what they wanted because they were living on borrowed time sad but true.
