and yah, i'm a dumb ass because i think the internal combustion engine and the fossil fuels required to run them should have gone the way of the dial up phone... you're right, what was me thinking...

Fossil fuels cut my paycheck. I care about the environment. Matter of fact my job is to protect the public, pipeline and environment. ... it's also ROW management which involves cutting down over growth and trees that encroach onto the ROW. I felt sooooooooo horrible the first time I had to cut down a large tree. I was a weeee bit special and believed I could commune with nature. It ended that day, I was shut out. Oil companies are not stupid... they don't just pretend to look into alternative energy. They produce what's demanded. We have wind farms and solar all over the US... fuck, people bitch about those...

almost EVERYTHING we use/produce is from fossil fuels and byproducts of the refining process.

I happen to be an Alaskan Native and I think that drilling in Alaska sucks because that is the last fucking piece of land the U.S. has that's not completely destroyed. We should really just legalize hemp and use hemp fuel.

The risk for drilling in AK is low.Pebble Mine on the other hand is crazy.I know with the strict rules out in the oil fields nothing gets destroyed. For christs sakes you can't even take a pee on the ground without getting fired.A cup full of spilled diesel is a full on crisis.Time to get real about the oil fields and get busy

all you people screaming fucking drill make me sick.. don't you remember a lil thing called the gulf of mexico and bp?? that shit made me so sick watching idk how many gallons of crude oil wash up on shore..
we need to push for a new resource other then fossil fuels.. we are doing nothing but depleting our earth of it's resources, what about future generations? just shit all over them i guess, why not, i'm getting mine...
fossil fuels is the biggest joke in years.. they keep us hooked up by their life lines at the gas stations and have us at our knees.. we pay $5 a gallon and don't require them to look for alternatives..
Not me. Cap the thing off. Pay for cleanup and environmental impact. Get back after it. If you've ever heard of the exxon valdez oil spill, you'll know, Alaskan's also have an idea of the impact that oil in water can do.

Look it up, exxon valdez oil spill. Guess we should stop all the cargo ships too? Wrong.

You are correct, but until we can come up with a cost effective way that will sustain the demand that only oil and gas can supply we are shit out of luck.. There have been "breakthroughs" in many fields but they are not anywhere near being viable enough to sustain the current demand which only goes up every day.

"breahthroughs" have been made 60 years ago but have been oppresed by fossil fuel lobbyists.
