Unions Finally Reaching Out

Unions in New York are reaching out to minimum wage workers . I always wondered why companies like Home Depot who make millions in sales and around here pay minimum wage for bust ass jobs , treating workers poorly haven't been unionized . It is their biggest fear , having meetings telling the workers to sign statements that unions are bad and actually having a mandatory class on why unions have destroyed America for their employees . I would love to see Union jobs at big companies like the Home Depot who cant move offshore without closing all together . Paying crap wages while raking in record profits and treating people badly has become a way of life for large corporations in America .

They would still makes millions they're not running it for shits and giggles the only difference is it would cost you 10x more for grow room material. Oh and I am sure Lowe's would love for Home Depot to go union. Hell why stop there? Lets unionize all fast food because everyone wants a 15dollar burger I am sure it wont hurt sales.

Because they're only about 10% union and pretty determined to keep that number down? Also I have seen a crap load more Sam's clubs then Costco's if Costco went full union it would be their death.

costco keeps their prices low by dealing in shitty to mediocre quality goods, and in bulk.

costco makes their profit on consumables, their durable goods are all absolute shit with only one redeeming feature, low ass price.

it's easy to turn a profit and keep your workers happy when the expectations of the workers are so low, and the markup on your goods is close to 100% across the board.

all that being said, yeah costco is cool.

wal-mart and sams club are the cock and anus of the devil himself.

So you figure that rasing the pay for fast food workers would result in a 15 dollar hamburger do you? show me the figures to where payroll is 500 percent of the cost of a burger. Now even if that were true, Burgers would still be purchased and the majority of those now higher paid workers would go out and buy more flat screens, more new cars, they would live in better homes, buy diswashers and stoves, drive more, go out to better restraunts and pretty much stimulate the economy in way the rich are not.

A 15 dollar hamburger might also slow the rate of obesity in this country, of heart disease and cancer and I will wager the burgers will wind up tasting better than the dog food that is offered now. so everyone wins

and if we make the minimum wage $500/hour everybody will be in the top 1%!

fuck yeah! pure genius!

the sales of Top Hats and Monocles will move the economy to new heights as all these new millionaires start buying yachts and shit...

If you can't grasp the concept that raising minimum wage to 1000 an hour would mean poverty would be over 1000 an hour then congrats, you are a liberal.

While I believe wholeheartedly in people's right to collectively bargain, unions need a re-branding. They need to separate from a political party, stop using threatening and dishonest tactics and lose the Hoffas as their face. Situations like the Decatur Al linemen during Sandy should never happen. It doesn't help the union cause.

Big Macs would cost closer to $8....who would go to a fast food place when a nicer sit down and be served restaurant costs just a little more? These are unskilled entry level jobs. Stunningly bad idea....the road to hell is paved with strokes of genius such as this dumb notion. Wow.

Some people just can't figure out if somehow you possibly made a utopia that everyone got exactly the same thing humanity would still shell out a 3 to 1 equation of fucking retards.

Check out the John Calhoun Mouse Utopia experiments from the 70's. If a utopia were created, it would quickly dissolve into a violent, murderous dystopia.

Everytime I see one of your posts, I pray it's not retardism striking again.

And every (fucking) time you just disappoint.

I hope you havnt reproduced yet cos Id push your woman down the stairs (if she was knocked up) to prevent your stupidity being spread.

That said, you probably wouldn't even notice the fact the child looked unusually similar to the mail man.

A rather roundabout way of saying that .... "you got nothin". Please let us know when you feel up to an actual debate, with actual numbers, actual logic, actual reason and actual responses. I'll be here, with my progeny, who is a college graduate with a nice paying job and my wife, who is a general manager of a heavy equipment rental yard. I am sorry your images of me arent more correct - as that might have put us on more equal footing.

People who want their food..... quickly? Remember those people? the ones who will pay a premium at a 7-11 because they don't want to walze down the isles at Albertsons and wait in line to pay? Frankly, I harbor some level of pity for anyone who believes that sitting down to a hamburger, no matter how tasty the burger or how white the table cloth, is "fine dining"

youve never had my brother's Haute Cuisine Double

salt and pepper

1 egg well beaten
2 cups panko crumbs

hand grind beef, and place 2/3 of the beef in mixing bowl
add onions shallots garlic and egg yolk
season to taste with salt and pepper
blend well to create a smooth Forcemeat
fold in remaining beef just till mixed

shape into patties and wrap in waxed paper
refrigerate in deep freeze/ blast chiller till cold as fuck (almost frozen)
moisten near frozen forcemeat patties in beaten egg, then dredge in panko
fry in pan lightly coated with olive oil
when panko is browned, turn once, top one of each pattie pair with a slice of mozzarella, and the other with smoked gouda
serve on fresh kaiser roll topped with spring greens salad, a thick tomatoe slice and light vinagrette
