If so thats cool with me, hes probably slightly less of an authoritarian than Romney. At least he pretends like he hates war.

It really doesn't matter. What does matter is that the younger generations will continue to become more liberal, and our Government as a whole will (and has already) move more toward the center. The Left, and the Center will always get along more than the Right and Center.
We as a country are moving more to the center. Whoever takes the center will run this country because the Center Represents The Most People and this being a Democracy majority rules. The Left has gotten smart, and moved toward the center while the right's only game plan is to continue to push an agenda onto people who don't want it, and call them stupid or ignorant when they don't pick up what they're laying down.

Employment and Training Program
The SNAP Employment and Training program requires those applicants who are able to register for work and cooperate in seeking and keeping employment. In certain counties, applicants are required to participate in this program.
The program requires mandatory recipients to participate in any one or a combination of the following activities as a condition of their SNAP eligibility:
- Secondary Education
- Job Search / Job Club / Job Readiness
- Community Service
- On-the-Job Training
- Employment
- 18 to 59 years old; and
- Not in school; and
- Working less than the equivalent of 30 hours per week at federal minimum wage; and
- Not receiving unemployment insurance or SSI; and
- Able-bodied; and
- Not the parent/caretaker of a child under age six.
- Any child under age 18 (unless applicant and not in school); or
- Any adult 60 or older; or
- Any parent/caretaker of child under age six; or
- Any unemployment insurance applicant or recipient
- Any person working more than the equivalent of 30 hours per week at federal minimum wage; or
- Any caretaker of an incapacitated person in their home; or
- Any person with a health issue that affects their ability to participate; or
- Any pregnant woman in her fourth or later month of pregnancy.

Small government I would love to see , it's proponents always seem to do the opposite however . Spending and borrowing more all the while it grows , police are increased in numbers and granted more powers / more laws are created to hassle you over every little thing . Bent on stifling oppressing the individual - the citizen .

Generally ABAWDS between 18 and 50 who do not have any dependent children can get SNAP benefits only for 3 months in a 36-month period if they do not work or participate in a workfare or employment and training program other than job search. This requirement is waived in some locations.
With some exceptions, able-bodied adults between 16 and 60 must register for work, accept suitable employment, and take part in an employment and training program to which they are referred by the local office. Failure to comply with these requirements can result in disqualification from the Program.

Depends on the State, no Federal requirement for states to have work requirements for the SNAP program. Michigan doesn't have one.

In reality, the Obama administration has said it will consider proposals from states that are aimed at finding better ways of getting welfare recipients into jobs. But the claim lives on. The Romney campaign has released two more ads repeating the line that work requirements were "gutted" line and it's become a regular talking point for Romney campaign surrogates.

They could have run Ron Paul and beat Obama hands down, but he wasn't corruptible enough for their taste.
Had to much Common Sense, and Backbone. To straight of a voting record. Probably couldn't get enough money
from special interests to even pay for his campaign.
It's sad too because I don't think Ron Paul will (realistically) run for president again. At least not with the support he had
this time around. He's getting old.
There won't be another Ron Paul for a LONG time.
When they chose Romney I was out. They didn't give Ron Paul any serious consideration. It told me who they were and what they stood for loud and clear.

Everyone is deferred from work requirements for food assistance, a lot of those fliers are outdated. But the flier does indicate that they must be referred. Ill find the actual regulation.

i know the mandatory work requirement was waived for many states and locales, michigan included (bush did that).
but they can still require ABAWDs to do a work search or community service or other stuff. just because it's non-mandatory doesn't mean it's non-existent.
