The gun law in America used to be "You can carry a gun openly, as long as you weren't pointing it threateningly at anyone." Up until about the 1960's, when the Black Panthers started carrying guns. Then all the sudden there was concealed weapons laws, and Bob Seale (founder of the Panthers) spoke out against the changing of the law the sole time it was happening.
American's RIGHT given to us in the Bill of Rights, in the Constitution of the United States, says that we can not only own arms, but bear them, "Hold them". We hardly get by shooting animals, but what that right was truly meant for was us to scare the government. The government of the United States is supposed to be afraid of its people. In Venezuela gas is 18 cents a gallon. Why? Because any time someone raises the gas prices, they riot and kill him. Americans used to be able to openly carry weapons, and our constitution both federal and in the state of Texas says we can take back the government if its not doing what we want it to.
