I know all about using a MH in first 2 weeks, scroging/ topping, keeping day/night temps the same, keeping light as close as possible and growing indica dom strians but are there any boosts out there that will help?

I like to use low stress training. It help a lot with stretch and increase bud production as well. You have to research about this PGR products if you have healthy issue but you have always choice. Good luck

I feed small amounts of N for the first month of flower. I find it helps reduce stretch and helps to keep the leaves nice and green.

products like bushmaster, stack, bush load all reduce stretch there are more.
doniawon is right. All those products contain paclobutrazol. Pretty sure AN's bud blood has it, too. And I think snow storm.
These are not natural ways to reduce the stretch. Paclobutrazol is approved for ornamental crops only. Lab trials have shown that prolonged exposure to paclo leads to an increase in liver size. Not necessarily something you want. Educate yourself before making the decision to use these products. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but it'd be best if you didn't make a habit of using these.

A more natural way was mentioned. You can start a topping regiment. You can try LST. SCROg, etc. They take a little more work but if you're smoking your product on a regular basis it might be worth the effort.

Just a little PSA

I used it and it stopped the stretch in its tracks.
There's definitely more in there than whats on the label. at >$250/lb, all they have listed is monopotassium phosphate. That company has labeling issues...

It's hard to find any useful information on their website other than marketing rhetoric. But they do claim that there are special "bloom initiating kelp extracts". Bud blood definitely doesn't do what normal kelp supplements do. And the wording makes me suspect after reading this: http://safeaccessnow.org/blog/blog/2011/09/20/long-banned-alar-daminozide-shows-up-on-hydroponic-store-shelves-before-being-removed-again/

Humbolds "gravity" and "bush master" generic product info doesn't list that they stunt growth, either. But we all know they do. All it mentions is that they have specific kelp extracts.

Anyways. I know you're a staunch defender of AN. Not really trying to get into that with you right now. Was just trying to give the OP a heads up about paclo products.

I like AN but I am certainly open to refuting arguments when supported by substantiated evidence. But you "think" AN uses placo but not sure, yet the greenies have found it in BM and others but NOT AN. I would think they would attack AN as a first line of business but they can't. Your point in the wording for kelp extracts is very interesting and raises my suspicions also along with the fact that you witnessed it in action. The only problem is they do not boast about tighter nodes....go figure. I do not use Bud Blood and never will. I am a staunch supporter of Sensi and Overdrive only. In fact, read the hoopla about Bud Blood and then Bud Igniter....whats the difference other then another redundant product ?

It says on Advanced Nutrients web site that Bud Ignitor is suppose to maximize the flowering sites on each stem
I did used this product for my last grow, dont see any difference, but it induced leaves into droop and yellow in the early flower. I only use two ml per gallon along with veg nutrient. IMHO all of the boosters are overrated.

happy gardening.

2ml/gal when it calls for 8? and you blame it for both not working and yellowing/drooping? Why? Less is More? KISS?

From what I know about Bud Blood and Ignitor… Bud Blood came out first and then Ignitor. Ignitor was made to work with pH Perfect, but a ton of people still prefer Bud Blood bc not everyone uses pH perfect and they say BB is better. I don't know a lot about BB. I use Ignitor, its based on kelp extracts. And as you said before, if AN has PGRs they would be the first to be pulled from the market. They are always under the microscope. Either way you go, both products are super expensive, so use them wisely lol. If I found out they use PGRs (solid evidence, and not I "think") I wouldn't use them. I would just rely on toping and scrogging. There isn't a whole lot of research on PGRs, but they have been found to be carcinogenic and bad on the liver. Good enough for me to stay away from them.

Ignitor is newer and compatible with PH-perfect as Blood is not. Good explanation. So what pisses me off is why do they fail to mention that? Here is another AN question: What is in Big Bud besides more P-K that isn't in Sensi PH Perfect?

Most are like that, damn I read GH or Humboldt shit and it's like I landed in Utopia. Most are like that. Even though they pull this shit, what works, works.

Yeah Humboldt is really bad. H&G also drives me nuts with their guaranteed analysis. All of their overpriced additives smell like kelp or molasses.

I'll agree with you that what works, works. But it'd be nice to know what's actually in the products so you can determine what is working and what is snake oil. But then again, that would lose manufacturers (they should really be called marketers/rebranders) their 800% markups on additives.

I mean there are companies that don't even list what micros they add (House and fucking garden). And this can make it hard to diagnose deficiencies in your plants because you have no idea what you are actually feeding them. Call up the manufacturer and they say you need to be running the whole line. It's a joke.

Ya inconsistant labeling is ridiculous. patlpp I was thinking about that the other day and thats where I get frustrated. Big Bud has citric and Ascorbic acid in it unlike the base, but now the base has a bunch of amino acids so its redundant. I agree a lot of the ingredients that I feel make the difference are spread amongst 5 bottles. So naturally if you use them all, you will achieve better results. One bottle wont do it all for you, but over 5 bottles seems excessive. Base, inoculant, Vitamins and minerals, bloom booster, carbs. …Silicate

I would say fuck the major labels if I could come up with a better yielding product. I can't. and all the people on here that say they can, good luck to them.
