This is the Headband Strain..

How she smokes...

really easy to smoke but at this point light on flavor but a nice lil kick one of the few strains I can just smoke a small bowl and be good for an hour or so..)

I still have much more to can.. so far have filled up just 2 jars.. this is the last plant to dry of my 2012 harvest.

the plant about 3-4 weeks b4 harvest

one of the collas

Roxy Dog with Santa... one of her fav toys.. she is a handful!

Looks great! I like how you trimmed after drying, I do that myself now and I believe it really helps with the flavor and aroma.

Nice job. Looks great. :) I can't wait to do outdoor one day. I think I need to come try it though.. just to be sure it's Headband. Wouldn't want you smoking something else thinkin' it was! ;)

I will never trim before drying again.. just the ease of trimming while dry sells this point to me.. the added flavor is always great too but honestly.. i'll scrape a bowl and smoke resin so flavor was not the main selling point for me...

I am curius, I use drying racks. I always (or atleast up until now) have trimmed as much as I could when wet. Dried branches on rack and then do a final trim when dry before going into jars. My only concern with drying racks would be to lay the full untrimmed cola on the rack....Wouldn't that cause mold of some sort since there was no air inbetwen the the fan and small sugar leaves from the bud itself? Thanks for answering a dumb question, I am sure it isn't your 1st and surely won't be your last.

+ rep for trimming after the dry

A pro's move.

I like to hang the plant as a whole instead of racks that way its all self supported from just a branch or a few if its a large plant.

This is how I dry. Its a very debatable topic but I know where I stand on it... Please read this thread is you haven't already.

And that's not a dumb ? at all. The dumb ones are the people that don't ask questions. Questions themselves can't be dumb, imo.

Mold is more dependent of RH and temp though, not air flow. Still air is fine to dry in if you can control the rh and temp. The reason most people use air flow is to control the rh because as the plants perspires the rh of the room it's in will rise. You exhaust the high rh air for low rh air via negative pressure 'passive intake' or intake 'active intake' Hope this helps. Happy growing!

I dont trust racks... I have dehydrated stuff over the years and find racks to be less then the ideal method when drying outside...

I will always use a fan when drying for airflow
