But why send a epty box tho? I had a friend who was caught with 4 pounds being shipped to his home, the dogs hit on the box in cali where it was shipped from, and informed out local law enforcment that a package had been red flagged, and marijuana was in it,and soon as it was delivered, him signing for it was a mistake,he got arrested, but it was his first time,so he got off easy, with probation.
yeah, that's the part i don't get and tend to think that no authorities were informed and it was a straight up robbery, but still, i'd not want to bet my freedom, or anyone else's for that matter, on that, and would still be shitting my pants for a good month or so, at which point i might stop shitting my pants and only continue living life by peaking out of the windows every few seconds for a few more..

I agree that the empty box strongly suggests that the ripper was a free agent. But someone who'd do that would perhaps not hesitate to say something to someone.
Or possibly the ripper is already in the tender embrace of a very interested interrogator. Assessment: burned. cn

It's hard for me to believe that someone at fedex stole 9lbs.... That would be hard to get by the shipping line... If it did really happen had to be a driver of a truck or a loader as in thoes positions, your somewhat by yourself....

the driver jacked you bottom line... have you done this before? does your house ever smell like weed? and 9 lbs if it as dank as you say it is will start to smell even threw two vac seals if it sits long enough that box could have had odor. either way if the driver knows anything about anything he knows a drug dealer wont go to the cops. your only option is to call fedex try and fgind out who the driver was for your route and get to work..
or tax it to the game.

try splitting your order up to multiple locations and using usps. your bound to get a package caught sometimes thats just way it works

Employees work together on these sorts of things.... thats 25k... that's probably close to what your delivery guy took home in pay last year. 6 months of salary for management...
i bet you had some sort of management and several employees involved. It probably wasn't their first time either.
I have a relative who worked in baggage handling/airline in the late 80s and early 90s. They had a whole system with a manager, several employees and years of experience in grabbing suit cases full of drugs and cash. And just like the OP, they knew no one was going to come back asking for their drugs or cash.

I don't know about LEO though. You would think they would show up with your package... unless they were already investigating you and thought larger charges could be brought against you later.
But why take the contents?

I know fed x workers that are keen to "special packages" and work in teams........it's more common than you might think.........especially in the east coast.....

He HAD to deliver the package. If he didn't it would show on their computer system that it loaded his truck but was never delivered. It most def was the driver that jacked you.. lol kind of funny to be honest. Who the fuck ships 9lbs at once?

They can :deliver: the package for the tracking system and not actually deliver it... it would be the same end result as your package being delivered to the wrong house and the wrong house decided to keep the package.
Seeing as the guy did deliver an empty box... it makes me wonder if the package was emptied from a sorting center. A sorting center other than the final destination city would seem like the lowest risk for the rippers.
Like CN said. It would take some brass balls to deliver an empty box with 9 lbs sitting at home under your coffee table, knowing you stole this guys package. It would take a really special sort of an asshole..:-P

Exactly, I had a friend who orderd a trolling motor online, fed ex dropped it off at the house next door, the people were on vacation. He called and said he never recieved the package, they verified, sent another one, it made it to the right address. A few days later, the neighbors came back from vacation saw the package that had his name on it and brought it to him, 2 trolling motors for the price of 1 So the ability for the driver to make a package say "delivered" looks like it is no big deal to pull off.

If the driver simply marked it as delivered but didn't deliver it, couldn't you just call up fed ex and ask who signed for the package? and when they don't have your signature on record couldn't you argue that it wasn't delivered? Isn't that the entire purpose of delivery confirmation?

Also who ships 9 lbs? Are you mental? I'm calling bullshit.

Definitely had to be someone in the sorting center, the driver would have definitely delivered to the wrong house or not at all. I knew of a guy who used to work for FedEx in the sorting center a long time ago and he used to rip packages all the time. In fact it was as simple as you say, he would just follow the package to the loading area. Then sneak it off to be opened and emptied, I remember him saying that he had ripped at least 10 kilos in his time there not including the smoke he pulled. And the guy was serious, he had the money to back it up, he told me he would make an average of 25k extra a year going through stuff. The guy was a real prick though and I always thought of him as a thief, I have no idea where he is now, probably in prison.

i worked night shift for ups for a couple months before it drove me to drink. and smoke...all before i got to work. and i remember once sorting shit for zip codes. i came across a bag that felt just like a silicone implant. it accidentally on purpose fell out of the bag and we played football with it for half an hour at break time. those were the days.

I'll take a guess and say that it was someone from the receiving end of FedEx in the destination state that took your stash. one of the guys who offloads the freight.

i have a friend who runs things this way, its not law enforcement, SOP for local and federal is to either let it through and monitor where it goes or sting on receiving, never to confiscate and not move. you were robbed by an employee
