One of my best friends is completely obsessed with pinups girls- the Rockabilly/psychobilly style is heavily influenced by 1940's-60's fashion and elements of goth/punk and even zombie horror. Alot of Rockabilly girls are the modern-day's pinup revival.

I love pinup artwork, especially those works of Gil Elvgren, who paints amazing flesh tones. The art is fun, colorful and sexy but without being too vulgur. Pinups and burlesque acts are a huge preference to outright tasteless porn, in my book. It's also empowering for us ladies :3

Plenty of healthy burlesque clubs out there, modern style icons like Gwen Stefani and Dita von Teese and great Rockabilly labels like Hell Bunny. I am wearing this dress next week with my first ever pair of 'proper' heels. I will post in Lace and Frills x
