Hi Folks,
I am new to all this and would value your opinions on how my little plants seem to be doing.
They are now 23 days old (ish?) and seem to be healthy but I have no idea if they actually are, although with no apparent problems so far and they all have a healthy deep green colour, I hope that they are ok.
I am growing in a cupboard that measures approx 3ft (w) x 3ft (l) x 6ft(h) and shinning on them is a 600w HPS currently some 16-18inches away.
My ventilation is not very efficient; it consists of a rotating fan constantly cooling the wee blighters and I have to leave the cupboard door slightly open to help keep the temp down which varies between 80 - 90 degrees, a little high I know but I cannot do any more for security reasons.
I started them all off in tiny pots filled with a peat compost and vermiculite and transferred them when they were 10 days old. I will need to transfer them again in a a week or so into bigger, probably 4-5 litre size pots.
I currently have 17 on the go (vegging on 18/6) and apart from 2 lowryder#2's I have no idea what the rest are as the seeds came from some weed that I smoked and it was fantastic hence why I decided to keep and use the seeds.
So so far so good then but I do think that I might run into trouble later on during the flowering stage as I think the high temps might affect the growth during flowering, but I will just have to wait and see.
I really think that I can keep just 4 plus the tiny lowriders (if they are female) when I discover what sex they are. Is there anything I can do with the males rather than just bin them? Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks for reading my story so far; I would be delighted to hear your views and especially any concerns that you have. I will update this thread as my babies continue to reach for the sky (well my 600HPS actually).
