To the OP, I think its great that Washington is taking another step towards legalization, but yeah, it will take a while to get the laws written fairly and thoughtfully.

Also, why all the hyperbole about Obama? You guys sound like Fox News. The world isn't ending, no one is "fucked". Presidents are over-rated anyways, its all about people power. If you're expecting a president to do anything but listen to public opinion and/or donors, you've lost the political battle from the get-go.

Why is it that when ever someone is against Obama there asked if they like and watch fox news? I seriously dont understand that... just for the record I absolutely despise and have a hatred for fox news...

Because Fox News uses hyperbole and scare tactics that sounds identical to many of the sentiments posted in this thread.

I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
I like having fire-fighters, road-maintenance, and a national guard.
I would prefer not to have the corporate welfare, global military industrial complex, and systemic racial/gender abuse that goes on, but those are things we can fix :)
