Belive it or not. Not Everyone has a "hook up" so yes, people will be paying high prices for weed. Everyone does mt grow pot, and everyone does not have a special dealer they go to when times get hard. They will buy from the government

Out here in michigan we have some dispensaries, but their prices are already sky high. I already won't purchase from a dispensary because I grow my own and their prices are too high. Even if I didn't grow the price on the black market is below dispensary prices, so I would simply get it from the black market (which I have had to do at times).
To be honest the economics of it out here don't make sense. MMJ became legal and supply went up and some how prices also went up. High prices forced me to grow my own, and I know many other people did also.

Colorado's new law has no DUI provision and they allow home grows......Washington has NO home grows and we get DUIs
I would think that if you are claiming marijuana legalization that people should be allowed to grow atleast 1 plant..LEGALLY

I don't get how the state is going to drop the price! I heard $25-100 a zip????? Wow then the state of Wa is going to corner the market on weed??? I guess we all will just forget how to grow weed! Oh and trust me the state can sell weed for $280 an oz but out of the goodness of their heart they are going to sell it for $100! Oh yeah cus the Government does whats best for you they don't really care about tax's they wana make sure you get a good deal on your weed! 
Oh and don't worry about these masive overhead costs and new fees! NO no don't worry bout that shit all that will magiclly pay for itself! and everyone will dance through the golden streets smoking the finest $100 Oz and Wa is going to somehow generate billions of new tax dollars at $25-100 an oz! This will be interesting. I would love to see everyones predictions come true! It would be a fun thing to watch from my porch smoking a bowl! Happy days are here I guess! la de fuckin da!
Why would the state carge $100 for something they can sell for 220+? Answer me that question! Why would Wa state cut their projected tax revenue on MJ in 1/2 or more likely 1/3? street value of an oz isn't 220 it's more in the 260-300 range! Just to corner the market? Or because they can? You guys are so smart answer me that! And if you believe the government is going to look out for you and wipe your ass for you then more power to ya! Have a good life man ignorance is bliss. We will see what happens to the price and to be honest we will all just deal with it! The free market will decide price not You not Me not the state! I can only control what I pay for weed "if I did buy it" or what I sell weed for " if I sold it" and I don't! So other than that it is what it is! Anyways, why would people go to the government for weed when you can walk in a dispensary and buy weed? They'd step on there own toes. This is business!! And how you get rid of everyone else is you gotta beat there prices. 10$ would not make a difference. If they drop it down very low.. Everyone who sells weed will stop. Hell you can legally own a class 3 full auto weapon. Depending on state laws But OK with the feds as long as they get the money
