So yesterday, i noticed that i drive in 2 weeks. Majorly excited by this i decided to buy a car. After looking thru forms on criegslist i notice a car i like. So i check it out. Car seems good to me so i buy it.
car comes homes, and i notice the engines real loud and now today ot started sqeualing.
spent 1500 on the car, started with 1780. Now at 280
car is so shitty i doubt ne1 will buy it if i repost it on crigslist. Thers a towing company willing to give me 200$ pick up for the car. Might as well take the deal and up with 480 and no car out of all this experience?

what do u guys think. Major feedback is needed please as i am not good with money. And now have a shitty car

Did they not let you test drive it? Any paperwork on services done to the car? Did you look around under the hood pretty good?. Crank it and let it run for 10 minutes and then watch for leaks under the car? Buying a car from a stranger is usually risky without some background info on the car. Sorry to hear if you got the shaft.

I went with my friend we did test drive it. It drives good really smooth. Its very loud tho and is squealing ... We did look at it all over. Im not worried with the body cuz its just the front fender thats kinda scratched.
I want to give it to the towing compant cuz im not liking the car nemore everytime i see it i get pissed now

But im not sure what the best move to do is because im the worst at reality. Kinda

what do you mean by the engine is real loud today?? i wouldn't junk it for $200 until i took it to someone who knows what they are talking about and won't rip you off and have them take a look at it and see what they say honestly..
the squeeking could be anything from a lose belt, easy fix, to anything more intricate, expensive fix, so i wouldn't go off of that alone..

next time you want to buy a car, find a trustworthy mechanic that you know of and take the car there BEFORE you buy it.. if the seller isn't cool with you taking the car for a day or so to get checked out from a mechanic, you know they have something to hide and not to buy the car.. if they don't have anything to hide, they should gladly let you take the car to get checked out ime..

If you don't like it, put that shit back on craigslist, lol.

For real though, don't get down on yourself, drive it, hope for the best, and prepare for the worse.

It's your first car, you're not allowed to hate it (I guess a lot of people hate their's, but I loved mine).

Only thing I can think of that would make a loud squealing noise would be either the belt or power steering or alternator, don't scrap the car out just yet, get a mechanic to look at it before.

lol, yeah, aren't all first cars supposed to be a pos?/ it's in the rule books after all isn't it?? lol, seriously though, the only way you learn about cars is pretty much by buying a pos and learning how to fix it every other week when it breaks down on you..
i always hated when kids parents buy them their first car and it's not a pos, it's like their missing the rite of passage of becoming an car owner and owning a turd for the first time..

I did get a mechanic to look at it and he said the only problem with it is that the head gasket will blow down the road..
I wasnt thinking straight (cuz i wasnt blazed!) and i thought fuck it - il only use it for a year but now ive herd more times then thrice that it wont make it to 6 months

how on earth a mechanic can tell that the head gasket is going to blow in a year is well beyond me.. and i don't know how many cars i've owned over the years that people thought wouldn't even make it to the corner, yet alone a year, but wtf do they know?? must of the times the cars lasted much longer then either of us thought it would..

not to knock, but i'm not huge on american made cars today, unless of course you buy a high end car like a corvette or a nice mustang or camaro, but i don't think i'd really drop money on much else us car wise, not including trucks, although i'd never drive a truck personally..
i'm talking japanese cars here.. great for a first time buyer as they usually will last years and years so long as you don't beat them too badly and change the oil regularly, plus they're pretty cheap to run and fix being they tend to get pretty good gas mileage.. also, manuals tend to last longer than auto's, and are way cheaper to replace a burnt out clutch than a complete new automatic tranny ime..
just my $.02 of course..

lol, not trying to be a dick here as i feel bad, but if the car was such a pos, why did you buy it in the first place?? yah, i know you said you were stoned, but christ, i pretty much make every life decision while i'm stoned, just saying..

noo i WASNT stoned thats y i made such a horrible decision. And when i seen the car it didnt seem like such a pos besides the rusts n 2 dents because the cars at 190k km and i thought itd last at least min of a year

i never knew cars cost so much to maintain i thought it was just oil changes n coolant.
i didnt even know u had to pay to register n pay for plates n shit
