To New Zealanders which seed bank did you go for? And how did it go?

Looking at trying some of these autos, and doubt I would be able to find any here. So been looking around the net read a few post from other New Zealand members but I didn't really get an answer who to go with. I need stealth, not just a t-shirt with a package inside.

If you enabled your Private messages i would tell you what the stealth quality of the seedbank i used (seaofseeds)
but they don't like it posted in public.

Anyway i received in 7 days with courier post and it does require a signature. Preferably your real name.
You won't get in trouble if caught anyway.

You get 5 free seeds with your order so keep the order low.

I tried to kept it under 10 seeds so i could only get 3 fem seeds and the rest were freebies. I wanted to try something different to the local clones i grew before but you should get yourself a pack and ask them not to send the freebies, that's how you get caught. Freebies don't have a very good germ rate anyway.

Use a prezzy card from the post office to pay for the seeds. It's the NZ international gift card that you cn use as a credit card. it's $6. Just put an extra $2 more on than the total cost of seeds, stealth, and postage. The card has a currency conversion fee hence the $2

Go to the seeds tab up the top of this site and they'll be first on the list with an 11% discount for rollitup users.

Sweet yeah, wasn't to keen on all the freebies and want to get around 10-15 autos, to keep me busy for awhile.

  • just wanted to add my 2c for my fellow kiwi horticulturists.

    Ordered from Attitude. Got guaranteed with stealth option. Both orders (the original and the resend) have been seized (or stolen). About to contact Attitude for another try at re-sending but I doubt they will. Not sure if I am unlucky with customs or postal theft (I heard another member suggest it for Aussie orders). I haven't received anything from customs notifying me of any seizure.

    Tried to order from Canadian Single Seed. Get to checkout where they say they won't ship to N.Z. Emailed asking for an explanation to which they responded (good customer service) that 'they are having problems with postal orders to New Zealand' which I read as 'too many are being intercepted'

    Just tried an order with Herbies Single Seed. I will post an update to the progress of this.

    I am trying to get as much information for kiwi's as possible because we live in a unique situation which is not generally covered in other threads so I am keen to hear from other members about their experiences.

Outdoor grows in the North Island are awesome. I can't comment on the South Island as I have only sampled their wares a few times. The typical 'NZ Green' outdoor grown bud is mainly Sativa dominant because most our seed stock came during the 70's in 'thai sticks' (though another theory is that some surfers brought back 'Maui Wowie' hidden in their surfboards at this time).

Late during finishing time you will have to shake out your plants if it rains to prevent bud rot. Our biggest pest is possums and pigs. Oh and police helicopters with weedkiller.

our outdoor season is just starting....

Sounds awesome. Those thai seeds... :) I'd love to get a hold of some of those, might have to visit NZ sometime. I know the Aussies have the same stuff kicking around.

Makes sense. They probably arrived in those thai sticks too. Very nice garden by the way, i love a wide variety of smoke to chose from.

Great news! My seeds from Herbies Single seed arrived today. Order received on the 5th seeds arrived on the 12th! Great stealth (which I won't reveal) that didn't cost extra like Attitude. The only thing to be aware of is my credit card company rang me to check the purchase as its processed by 'Hocus Pocus' which was a flag for my company. They rang as soon as I made the purchase so please be aware that you may be purchasing 'magic items' or something. I also gave Herbies a couple of details at the checkout that I wanted my package to have that I thought would increase stealth. I am not sure if they do this for all their packages but they certainly did it for mine. Fantastic customer service!!!

This leads me to believe that the orders from Attitude are being stolen by NZ postal workers who know what they are looking for. I believe this because I think anything that I was importing into NZ would be a flag for customs to search if they had found seeds previously. Maybe I have given the computer system to much credit and it is unable to do this? I also have not received any letters or such from customs.

I have emailed Attitude today 'its been 21 days' to see if they will resend. I will update the interested kiwis on the whole process that I went through with Attitude after they respond to my email.
