Not me! I don't have a cellphone of any sort, and don't plan on it. cn
I have one through tracfone. I never use it. But I have it in case I'm in my car and I need to call the sheriff or get help if I break down. Other than that? It makes a great paper weight.

I had one for a year in '03. I bought it specifically for my big bike trip. I was sucked in by AT&T's map showing almost the whole nation covered.
They lied, as I found out.
What I would like is a satphone. I've lost confidence that i can ever go on as ambitious a trip, but knowing that so long as I can see southern sky I'm *covered* would be nice.

Thats just nuts. I can't even imagine life without my phone. I use it for everything, especially to help me get my weather info fix ever couple of hours. How did I ever live without live animated dopplar radar in the palm of my hand!!!!!!!!!

Wait, how old are you bear........do you have a cane and tell kids to get off the grass?

Well, I am past the half-century mark. That probably has summat to do with it.
And in the spirit of "Grand Torino", the cane I shake at the kids on the lawn takes ten rounds. cn

I had a tracphone for the same reason, then I broke down coming back from Carlsbad and I couldn't call anyone for more than 10 seconds at a time before I lost signal. I got pissed after trying to call for help for 2 hours and snapped it in half. I think it's still in the tool box on my truck in pieces.

what's the bright heavenly body up there by the moon? :eyesmoke:
That's my <cough!> ~blush~

It reminds me of something from childhood. I learned what a Gas Giant was at the age of eight. However, I'd seen the term earlier, and assumed it described people like my uncle. cn
