Carne, why don't you just be honest with yourself and everyone else, the LDS Church does not look kindly to members being gay.
You can blame your displeasures on them for not excepting blacks into priesthood until the late seventies if it makes you fell better, but at least be honest and tell us what they feel about having gays in the priesthood!

I have had nothing but acceptance and love from my ward. Here and in SLC. The three times I was bashed were from "Christians" not Latter Day Saints.
That's great Carne but I didn't ask that, I kindly asked how the LDS Church feels about having gays entering the priesthood?

Both sides arguing on this thread are obviously intelligent, with high verbal skills. I am impressed daily, (even if I disagree) with the profound and often hilarious comments made on RIU. That being said, why must you lower yourself to name calling, (vile stuff) and accusations of disgusting behavior? You are better than that. I know you are. I have seen the good side of many of you on here on other threads. I know it is easy to fall into the "one up" on the other guy game, but it does not help you win a debate.

I owe Freedomworks an apology. I called you a troll among other things. I was wrong to do it. I do not know you, nor the history of the argument. Some things you had said offended me. I thought they were way out of line until I saw some of the things said to you. I still think you were wrong to say those things, but I was wrong to jump in on it. So please forgive me.
On a lighter note, you folks have made me rethink a few things, not that I changed my mind but I did reaffirm why I think as I do. I have also laughed pretty hard at some of your banter. Thank you.
