FIRST GROW Looking for Constructive Criticism

This is my first grow and I am attaching some pictures for you to look at.

Details:
Strain: Widow Bomb (Bomb Seeds)
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients MGB 3 Part
Light: 600w HPS

Also I'm not exactly sure when to start the flush, can anyone tell just by looking at the pictures? I'm pretty sure its starting week 8 now, but there are no amber hairs yet. I was thinking I should wait till I start to see some darker hairs before flushing.

Any help is appreciated.

Don't see any brown hairs. Only way you'll know is by ambering trichromes. You need a 30x microscope.

I just don't understand why it's taking so long. This is the 9th week she's been under 12/12. Do some plants take 11-12 weeks?? Their web site says 8-10 weeks.

Dude, they can take 20 weeks. Not plausible, but it is possible. Stop worrying and just let it grow or you'll end up chopping it down early.

And how am I as a first time grower supposed to just know that some can take that long. Nothing I have read has says that. If I already knew everything I wouldn't be on this forum.

Yeah, I just read through a couple grow journals to get an idea on everything I am supposed to know, and now when I'm answering threads it's like quizing myself so I can become a better grower. So you probably wouldn't know if you didn't read though journals or had someone like me tell u. Most people look at the seed sites but don't realize that those are just bs numbers to sell you shit. Most people care more about how much time it takes, rather than the taste, look, high, which is the exact opposite from what you want. That's just the natural way peoples brains work these days though.

Honestly man, your plants look great. Dont get me wrong, they arent the greatest plants ever grown, but youll surely get some nice smoke off them.
Keep doing what your doing, and always look at ways to improve. add a fan, check ph, find the right amount of nutrients. Its an experiment done over and over agian until you get what you want. And ill repeat what everyone else said....Patience is a virtue!! But u already know that Hahaha!

Good luck man, and update us with final product in a couple of weeks!
PS Dont grow by specs(12 weeks 2 flower etc), grow using your eyes :eyesmoke:

flowering pot plants operate under the squares rule for lighting. This means that when a plant is move from 2 feet from the light to 4 feet away the plant gets one-quarter the energy it did at 2 feet.
Moral -- put your plants closer to the light.

The plant is only 16 inches away from a 600watt HPS light I'm pretty sure thats already almost too close

Thanks man, and yea I need a fan bad. The one I was using is now being used for mushrooms. And the next thing I think I need to start doing is letting the water sit out for a day or so before adding to the res to get rid of the chlorine, and definitely need to start monitoring my ph
