Hunting has been something I have been kicking around lately. I have Colt AR-15 and Norico SKS that I got for an OZ! LOL I have a few other guns but not for hunting. I am hopeing that some friends have a cyotee problem again so I can go take some out but I felt like shit when I was a kid for shooting a bird so I don't know if I am just to big of a pussy to hunt or not? LOL Great thread though I was looking FWD to seeing some hunting pic's!

thanks and yea you have to have the right mind set to hunt, just think about you are helping manage the heard or if your coyote hunting you are protecting deer with everyone you kill. hunting is alot of fun

Had no idea you wait that long to track a deer...figured coyotes would get it if ya let it go 8-12 hours or overnight....I think the missing head on the deer was someone looking for a nice rack on a roadkill..not sure if that is considered poaching or not....don't think it is illegal...my buddy says he carries a hatchet in his truck in case he sees a nice one on the side of the road.
It is illegal to possess any part of a deer that you didn't have a license for. If you cut the antlers off a road-kill deer you are breaking the law.. just sayin..

Incorrect. You may harvest the deer for your own personal use as long as you contact your wildlife association within 48hrs.

Also, it's only illegal if you get caught.

You a hunter Stump? the locals tell me that there is some disease from a fly that is killing lots of deer locally brought on by the drought...thousands of deer have been found dead.

Also was told that the deer here taste better from eating corn while the northern deer eat mostly pinecones and stuff.

Yeah Michigan, Yes I hunt, haven't been out this year, all the deer are dead where I hunt. DNR only reports what has been turned in, there were over 100,000 deer killed off by the EHD outbreak. I know a guy that took a canoe down a local river and counted 300 dead deer in a little over 5 miles.
