Greetings in Jesus name :-|

This is my first grow.. even though I was planning to grow for the last 7 years... but i never really got around to it, until now :hump:

Brainwreck is a really potent strain!! Just what I need for this back pain!

These sprouts are only 3 days old! and under a 400 HPS.


So far they are just in rockwool cubes and are fed distled water.



More good news!!

4 other sprouts just popped up, and are growing faster then the other ones o_O

any reason you're not going for a conversion bulb?

You know what? That is the same thing i heard from some other people on here, that a 400 HPS is "too strong" for seedlings.

Other then that, I can get a 400 MH bulb for $30 from my buddy, but I am literelly DEAD broke...

Is the MH really THAT good for vegging??

I mean, come on!!
Will it really make a BIG difference??

I don't think that 400WHPS is too strong for seedlings, just that 400W of anything like right on top of them will definitely nuke them if them don't have sufficient roots down, especially in rockwool, which has zero nutrients. I've seen a few drop their big old lamps right down on seedlings or clones and nuke the bastards ... it's worse with clones because they have all the foliage and no roots.

I'm going to be honest. I'm unfortunately victim of 'common knowledge' and always vegged under fluorescents, and now under MH. I have heard - and noticed - that tops totally leg out when I add HPS. I recently encountered this when I put in HPS on plants that had already been flowering for ~3wks. I've also heard of people running HPS the whole time with good results. I was honestly just asking if you had a reason. One of these days I'll have enough lights and space to run these sorts of experiments.

Oh yeah, and brainwreck is a pretty sweet name for a strain.

A fellow HGS grower i see. Fully document your grow with pictures and send them to the head guy at the seed back. You'll receive a free pack of HGS seeds

Its been 6 days now.

I had to pull one of the seedlings cause it was a mutant :evil:

But so far they are 5 of them in good condition..

The other ones are growing slower, and have weird growth and shit.





Here are some pics of my setup.




When should I start feeding them nutes?

But yea, make a journal on here first with your entire grow layed out start to finish, make sure you state everything you do. And then email him and say hey i got a grow log of your Brainwreck, and then you send it to them and they give u seeds. They will probably use it on the main seeds page if you have abover average results.

Its been 9 days now... I already see roots coming out of the rockwool :D

4 of them are in very good condition, and I HOPE the others make it.

Is it common for the plants to loose their first set of leaves so early (10 days)??

4 of the plants lost their first set of leves in 10 days... Dont know if that is a good or bad thing.

i just started a 12/12 from seed grow been intrested in it for awhile so figured why not? i threw in a few freshly rooted clones to see what goes down with those. what size container should they finish in does it matter right now i got em in solo cups ive had plants in those for two months without stunted gowth so im wondering if i should stay in those or about 1/2 way throu goto 1 gal grow bags ??

Hey Giant E, your sprouts are healthy, but are nutrient deficient in Phosphorus, which is determined by the purple stems. Feed the plants a light phosphorus solution and your plants will grow at twice the current rate. Hope this helps! Otherwise, I hope you have some healthy girls!
