I prefer a more positive attitude: "fix what America has become". cn
Impossible with so many misinformed people. I'm starting to think society itself is destined to fail, we're not wired to live in this kind of environment.

This bitch is gonna run itself into the ground in my lifetime. Enjoy the ride while you can..

I got a tax break? Well then send me the check you crony
so, you didn't work?

[h=4]Tax incentives for individuals[/h]Total: $237 billion

  • $116 billion: New payroll tax credit of $400 per worker and $800 per couple in 2009 and 2010.
  • $15 billion: Expansion of child tax credit: A $1,000 credit to more families (even those that do not make enough money to pay income taxes).
  • $14 billion: Expanded college credit to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.
  • $6.6 billion: Homebuyer credit: $8,000 refundable credit for all homes bought between 1/1/2009 and 12/1/2009 and repayment provision repealed for homes purchased in 2009 and held more than three years. This only applies to first-time homebuyers.[SUP][40][/SUP]
  • $4.7 billion: Excluding from taxation the first $2,400 a person receives in unemployment compensation benefits in 2009.
  • $4.7 billion: Expanded earned income tax credit to increase the earned income tax credit — which provides money to low income workers – for families with at least three children.
  • $4.3 billion: Home energy credit to provide an expanded credit to homeowners who make their homes more energy-efficient in 2009 and 2010. Homeowners could recoup 30 percent of the cost up to $1,500 of numerous projects, such as installing energy-efficient windows, doors, furnaces and air conditioners.
  • $1.7 billion: for deduction of sales tax from car purchases, not interest payments phased out for incomes above $250,000.

I would have to characterize that as a defeatist attitude, and those can be self-fulfilling. Imo the far greater valor would lie in refusing to give up on the nation. It's our home, after all, and no good can come of disgusted abdication. Jmo. cn

How do I jump through one of those loop holes that Romney is going to close? I can't get the earned income tax credit anymore. Not enough babies

Every day that you attack America
"attack America" by pointing out it's shortcomings?

You're the one that's unAmerican. You and your buddy BigRed, you sit by while America is destroyed from the inside out and think your saviors Romney and Ryan are the only way to get back on track.

Just shut the fuck up already.

I gave up when I realized having hope only leads to disappointment.

It's completely defeatist, no denying that.

....and no good can come of continuing to support a contradiction and pretending it is not.

LOL. Its so funny to see you defend that you don't support Obama,.... by attacking Romney. You're worse than budlover. Both of you are mods that have never EVER had anything bad to say about Obama, just Romney. You're so fake it makes your nose bleed.

OK I'll bite. Which contradiction? cn
I may have read into your post so my apologies if I assumed too much. I inferred that your not wanting to give up on "the nation" was a reference to supporting American government policies. If that was the case, I think it contradictory to support a system that relies upon taking away freedom all the while purporting to protect it.

Yet when pressed to find ONE quote of mine defending Obama, you consistently fail to find one and simply lie over and over again because you're a goddamn liar. We've already established that.

Attacking Romney is supporting Obama? Did you miss breakfast this morning?

Watch this, watch me defend chocolate! Ready, are you watching?..

"I hate vanilla"

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!

Hopefully that simple example outlines how insane you are, jeff.

Bad to say about Obama?

-more DEA busts in CA than Bush, bullshit
-perpetual state of war, bullshit
-Gitmo, bullshit
-bail outs, bullshit

Close your cakehole, dipshit. You have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

I'm taking a longer view: our people, our society, whom government should be serving. While my views aren't congruent with yours, I share with you displeasure/lament at the nation being "rode hard and put away wet" by blatant practitioners of self-interest. cn

If you use "cake hole" as an insult, that means "pie hole" is good right? I'm still trying to work this lingo out....:eyesmoke:

The insults involve less processed food, like corn.

Of course, by that logic, "Spamhole" and "Twinkie hole" would be less insulting.
So whaddoIknow!? cn

Sir people have died and been injured since America was born. I lost good friends and had a brother injured in viet nam, don't look at it as a bad thing, at least they don't draft people any more.
The goverment learned from 'Nam and came up with stop loss and sending the National Gaurd overseas as not to rile the people up again with the draft.
