Don't be fixated on lining your plants up...It will be difficult to distribute your light evenly, most lights are made to reflect naturally into a square area. I would get a 400 watt conversion kit if I were you. That way, you can properly veg plants, and pull A LOT of herbs per harvest. As far as nutrients go, I will say this...I use hardly any nutrients, grow completely organically, in Fox Farms Happy Frog soil. I feed my plants twice. Both times with Seaweed/fish emulsion mixture. Totally organic, and they never show signs of deficiency. Here are some pics to prove you don't need complex chemical nutrients to grow excellent herb. The fungus and bacteria in your soil are just as important as the nutrients, as they help to fix the nutrients to enable absorption..Peace bro
