If i was doing a flood/drain I would grow the plants in 4" rockwool cubes and fill the table with hydroton. I would flood the table, time how long it takes (maybe 5 minutes), and set my timer for that period.

I would flood/drain once a day.

Here's my C-99"s in 2g coco hempy's.........6 days into flower, 31 days from seed. The stretch has begun. Now that my 2g coco setup is dialed in, I've moved back to my 180w jumbo LED's for this strain (from 400W HPS).

Ahhh .. I can't wait to see those C99 bud up and get some feedback of you. They look great!

Not showing her sex yet I take it?

Why the move from HPS to LED?

No sex yet at 6 day's....feminized seeds though. I live in a "hotter than Hades" climate....the heat from the 400w HPS on the last 2 grows was radiating off the tent sides and making it warmer in the room it occupies... forcing the need to lower the air conditioning. Despite all the hype out there, I had great success with these ProSource LED's before in soil and hempy....I only moved to the HPS due to one strain that was taller. The HPS fixture bought me the extra 4" I needed. The LED's are less heat intensive and every plant I've grown loves them and shows it (can't speak for other brand LED's though). I've noticed that white flies prefer the HPS too...something I never had to deal with using the LED's (believe it or not!) I'll keep this thread updated....maybe I can help dispel the myth that LED's totally suck. My minimum yeild with LED's over 2g coco hempy is 3oz dried....even with 2 different auto-flower strains (no bullshit). The HPS if anything, had more penetration and provided more of the lower "popcorn" buds which aren't my preference.

Sometimes you see preflowers in veg, strain dependent.

It will be interesting to see what an LED setup can do, I'm ignorant about them tbh.:peace:

Moebius and the hempy clan i havebeen brbrain storming for a 5x5 tent grow. What do you think for the 2l grow, 1x600, 2x600, or 1x1000? Dont worry about heat as I will have adequate cooling. I got 5 fem pineapple express beans coming. Want to grow them to take cuttings and try to find a fire mom.

I'll measure my space with 2*600W and get back to you. My instincts say go with the 2x600w, I'll let you know.

edit:

The 2*600w Im running (connected together and including the ducting out from both hoods) measure just under 5'10" x 2'6". Thats the size of the light rig.

The footprint of the tubs containing hempy's have a smaller footprint about 5ft x 2'5" .

Depending on the size of your hoods you'll be just a little tight to run them in a straight line, as I have done. ... remembering the ducting that pokes out both ends.

IMO ... If you can run the hoods in a line, rather than side-by-side that will be your best option. I'm just worried you'll be short by literally a couple of inches, because of the ducting.

Although ..... If your tent has holes on either side, it will be easier. You can just have the fan on the other side of the tent, leaving just the C.Filter inside.

I will always go for 600w with this style of grow. Wider light spread allows for more bottles. 1000W can easily lead to stressing the plants, not only through heat but also by too much lumens. .... Even with cool running 600w, get too close and the leaves and bud start 'bleaching' colour, which I have experienced here.

If you wanted to emulate my setup, the perfect size tent would be a 6ft x 4ft. that would comfortably cover 90-100 hempys.

Which C99 are you running? Mine is the Female seeds.

Hey hempy homies, thought you might like another peek at how the girls are doing. Here are the three of them together today. Growing up into strong young ladies now! The purple og is growing much shorter and more compact then the lemon og or the c99, but all three seem healthy and happy!

I'm looking forward to seeing that Lemon OG bud aswell. Ive got 4 Lemon Skunk but want something with better genes. Lemon is what everybody likes around here but i've not come across any easy grower yet. Yours look well. Whats your plan for them re veg time?

Ok, as a founding member of WOH, I should introduce my Hempy system.

I run 3 X 600w digital ballasts /w Air-cooled hoods and Carbon filters.
I use a mix of 1:3 / Vermiculite:Perlite and I grow in 2L bottles.
I clone in a DIY spray/mist cloner.

Under my lights I fit 140 Hempys, I currently have around 80 Hempys in flower at present, after my last crop . I rack 21 Hempy's in a 42L container and have cut holes in some 6mm ply to hold the Hempys secure.

what kind of totes are those u have there and where did u purchase them at?

They are 42L Underbed storage boxes. I bought mine from 'Tesco' and 'Asda' supermarket because they were the cheapest in my country. They are widely sold online. ... they are less than 10 bucks each.

edit:
made in China i think, sold under the brand names, 'Wham' and 'Crystal'.

I am excited to flower the lemon og as well, especially after seeing raiderman’s recent grow of it on here. He got a real nice yield, and says it is a heavy couchlock strain with a trippy buzz.

The plan as far as veg for these is that these three will be bonsai moms, and I’ll flower out clones of them, but unfortunately it’s going to be a minute until I can. I have six plants 5 weeks into flower right now, and clones that have been vegging for about 4 weeks for the next run. After that I will hopefully be ready to flower out clones of these three, but that won’t be until like January. Wish it could be sooner, but I don’t want to mess up my perpetual cycle.

Thanks man. I already know I can't run them in a straight line Ina 5x5 tent so I will have to run them side by side. I know doing this I will compromise my cooling of the lights but hopefully it shouldn't be that much. I have (2) magnum xxxl 8" hoods. Theoretically you cover more area with lights side by side. With the ducting I'm going to try to run the beginning of it outside the tent venting out on the other side of the tent so that I can run C02. My space is very I limited so the biggest is a 5x5 tent. Going to get a gorilla grow tent so that I won't have to worry about weighing the tent down.

Oh, 2 Magnums in a 5x5 will just be fantastic. You'll have no dark spots what-so-ever.

If you were running big plants I may have said 1000w might be OK. but 600W is defo the way to go with 2L.

Whats with the CO2? Is it something you really want to try? .... Ive thought about but in the end considered it more hassle than it was worth. Especially with short plants. .... I run my lights at night to take advantage of the increase in ambient CO2 levels during the night. I suppose it will defo help with any heat issues you may face.

More than C02, I focused my time, space and money on ventilation. but thats just what I did.

Thinking about it somemore CO2 will be great. Most of a plants weight is derived from the C02 it extracts from the air. Get it right and you'll have super healthy and strong plants.

Im thinking with the co2 should help me avg 15 grams per plant but I know it's based on strain. Hmmmm maybe first round I should go without it. Also I thought about vegging for 10 days but then it wouldn't be a true sog.
