I guess I'll go by tumorhead as that's why I'm growing again. I grew several years ago in a 4x4x6.5' tent, vegged for 4 months, and screwed things up during flower so I ended up with shit. Some was good but there wasn't much of it, while most of it was stressed or nutrient deprived, and some lost to bud rot.

I flowered with 2 400w mh and a 400w hps in the center cause that's all I have and can't afford to buy new lights. If I had it to do over I'd have gone with 600w.

Things looked good until I got stuck out of town and no flights could leave for 3 days after being gone for a week already. Then I didn't give enough flowering nutes when I put them on 12/12








I even brewed yeast and sugar to create CO2 getting the ppm up over 1200


I tried a lot of things, but now I'm leaning towards going straight to flower after 1-2 weeks on seedlings or rooted clones. Everyone calculates these insane yields, some people get them, I probably got 4-6 ounces of good bud after 7+ months time invested in a crop. There was a lot of plant matter but it wasn't smokeable. I guess I should have made hash with it.


I've just bought herb for the last couple years, it was cheaper and better quality by the time you factor in the dehumidifier, lights, fans, nutes, dirt, water, etc but over the past 11 months I've had this progressing problem that's fucked me over big time and my employment options have dwindled.

My passion over the past few years has been making games with Unity 3d game engine, modeling in 3ds max and blender, and more recently making kids games for mobile tablets and smartphones. But about 2 months ago the tumor started fucking with my eye (pushing on the nerve) and I haven't been able to even open a project in 2 months, when prior to that I spent every waking moment glued to one of several game projects and was just wrapping up one for the app store. I just have to record audio, throw it in, and it's done.

I have the worst neurological pains you can imagine, doctors couldn't make any sense of my symptoms, one told me to go home and see if it improved, the other said it was headaches and I wasted months trying shit that didn't help, and still am ready to kill myself after 11 months. Finally after 7 months I got to a neurologist who did an MRI and found a mass in a really bad place near the pituitary gland, which is pushing on all the nerves/muscles/etc behind the eye and across the left side of the face. I've been through spinal taps and every fucking test possible and they still can't figure out what the "mass" is despite having a fucking picture of it. It's in a place they can't really biopsy so I'm just totally fucked at this point.

I'm planning to just go straight to flower with some lollipops. I can't afford to buy herb anymore and just need to get something going fast. I've been on immune-suppression therapy, which isn't working, and I'm not supposed to be around decaying plant matter like compost, dirt, and even marijuana leaves as I'm susceptible to all the fungus and shit since my immune system is knocked down like an aids patient. So that's another reason I just need to do small plants with minimal dirt. I may end up getting brain surgery so no point in vegging since I may be unable to attend my garden for a period of time and will have to start over again anyway.

I really need to make edibles as even smoking hardly helps unless it's an entire joint, and I never used to smoke more than a couple puffs throughout the day. Even narcotics and nerve meds don't do shit. Growing pot has been therapeutic in a way. I'm 28 years old, diagnosed with a 1 per 1 million population disease/tumor. I live in Seattle.

I feel for you but you will get better after surgery.What are the temps bro? you had light burn/bleaching with lights too close also the ph was out in the end and you tried to fix things with more nutes and you burnt them.
Try sea of green with small pots ,more perlite etc. Have ph of feeds and waterings at 6.5, temps below 80 ,no moisture stress and lights not too close. You were going so well till this happened so it wont be long and you will succeed at this, and get suicide thoughts out of your head, your 28 will get thru this and will be a much stronger man for it.

Thx man, that pretty much sums up what happened to my crop. Too much heat with all 3 lights and not enough ventilation and nute/ph problems, but the smell was so strong I couldn't really send it anywhere because I live in the city. I have a carbon filter but the fan is crap, I'm saving for a good 6" one.

Currently my seedlings are 75 degrees under light, but with the lights out they get down to 65 and it's not even winter yet, but I've had the dehumidifier off and that fucker usually heats the air so I might turn it on at night. The moisture raises at night but I figured for a few hours it's alright. Currently 16/8 but going to 12/12 soon.

I still need to get my water situation fixed. Currently I'm just filling a bucket with tap water, letting it sit for several days, and using it. I haven't been to the store to get ph strips. I was thinking of buying a filter at home depot that you put on the water line and you can put various filters in it depending on ppm you want to filter.

I usually put a trash can outside under the gutter which fills up with good water, but it hasn't been raining here.

I'm not depressed, had my life going better than ever until 2 months ago, I just can't escape this insane pain and the doctor's are worthless as it just keeps progressing, if it's not on their list of common illnesses they don't know what the fuck to do...3 months after having an image of the thing I'm worse off. Feels like an ice pick through the temple and through the eye are sword fighting deep inside every second I'm awake. Meanwhile just have to wait for the next appointment and I've been greatly disappointed at each appointment so far.

hey, you could always sell one of your MH or trade it for a good extractor and carbon filter?

Besides that i am sure you will suceed if you persevere, i mean it sounds like you have the knowledge.. just need a little tweaking.. more that can be said for the Drs i guess :O

Yeah thanks, I was considering saving my pills to trade my vicodin for herb or equipment, I'd prefer a brownie to the pills anyway. The carbon filter I bought was like $200 from a reputable company, some of my other equipment was chinese shit I tried to save a buck on and have been burned with.

I spent like $300 on a damn real time co2 meter but I dropped it in a bucket of fermenting yeast. Talk about heartbroken... It still turns on and works but has some brown shit inside the screen. I wonder if a watch repair place could clean it up enough to sell.

All in all I spent a couple grand on the equipment I have, went all out, had a good job and was like fuck yeah. Now I just want to do a smaller perpetual grow so every month or so I can get .5 - 1 zip. I can do 2 cooltubes in the closet vertically, or just 1 horizontal. I have 3 total just sitting here.

Biggest concern is smell, even 1 flowering plant can get a nosy neighbor to report you. I guess in Seattle you can be a caregiver to 2 other people and grow 45 plants. So I should look into that.
