I'm using super soil and nowl have yellowing

Hello fellow super soil users! Here's my situation...Cheesequake in 7 gallon pots for two months, 4 ft tall bushes and I've topped off with super soil already. I'm running out of gas and need a good boost of nutes, can anyone recommend anything? THANKS!!

Veg or flower if flower what day?

Pretty much it's either topdress with organic amendments or use liquid nutes if your plant is using up your N too soon. Might also want to check your water pH as well perhaps your water pH is too high and locking out some of the N so the plant can't get as much as it needs even though it's there. If you're in veg, you could also stick her in a 10 gallon :) Some cheesequakes are heavy feeders, either you got one or you've got a pH issue. Pics would help could just be normal flower yellowing if you're in flower as well :)

if it's 2 months flower do nothing :)

Thanks for the input. I did forget to mention that they're in veg and i keep my PH at 6.5. I was under the impression that cheesequakes were light feeders which is why I only filled the pot with 1/3 supersoil, whoops! I gave them a shot of age old and hopefully that'll turn them around.

I know what you mean... I made one CQ grow nuts I think by giving too much nutes... the rest of mine are normal feeders, neither heavy nor light... but i've heard others say there are heavy feeding N loving phenos as well.

2 months is a long time to veg in a 7......you are going to have to move up in size if you want a decent yield.....i have a N loving Cheesequake, and Senseimilla is absulutely right on about the high PH.....my well water can be high, and i have to be careful it does not raise my soil PH, and lock my N hoggin' girls out......my CQ is a fucking pig......+rep to Sense.

he has 4 foot bushes in 7 gal. pots still in veg, running out of gas.....what do you recommed him doing at this point buddy? he obviously out-grew his medium, with a strain that is particularly hungry for N, and has yet to flip the switch......no shit a grower can get through an entire run in a 5 or 7 gal. with SS....that is entirely not the point, and your "wisdom" fails to offer anyone anything of value...he should up-pot and flip them, and be prepared to supplement with liquids and top-dressing to get them through their cycle........i will try to remember to go with a bigger pots next time i choose to run plants under the sun...thank you for that valuable nugget....i owe you big time.

I should've been a little clearer on my situation. I use smart pots. I know what my problem is and if I was using bottled nutes I'd just give them a shot. I was basically asking what would be compatible with super soil as not to torch them. I should've been a little clearer on the situation, sorry it's my first posting. They were given to me in 2 gallon plastic pots and they were starved of nutes and rootbound. I filled the 7 gallon SMART POTS with 1/3 super soil and used Pro Organics soil as my base. I test my water every time I feed the girls and its always 6.3 to 6.5. They've been in the 7 gallons for 5 weeks.

Much respect to sensi and nugs for your input and thanks for keeping on topic. I've been on bottled nutes for years and became convinced on organic since smoking some fire chernobyl. This is my first time around using super soil and don't want to fuck anything up, so any input is greatly appreciated.

right bro, 5 weeks is a long time for straight veg after up-potting to a 7 gal, h2o only...a hungry strain will start to yellow by then....you are simply going to have to feed her with what ever organic way you choose...the other option is to up-pot her again.....any balanced organic nutes will do, as your SS is petered out....esp. of N......she has used up her food.....good luck.

Best option: If you repot her into a 10 gallon and make all the new soil super soil, that'd get you most of the way through flower I'm sure (assuming you get her into 12/12 after she resumes normal growth post transplant).

2nd best option is topdressing with supersoil. Just add up to 1" to the top (depending on how much room you have) and water in -- you'll need to topdress every 2-3 weeks depending on how much you put in. This is what I do in flower if I find the plant is yellowing too early. Just don't topdress in the last 3-4 weeks or you may end up with nitrogen in your buds if it doesn't all get used.

The only reason using nutes in super soil causes any issue is that there are already nutes there. If your plant has leeched them all from the soil then using liquid nutes should not be a problem. The question might be whether the N is gone but P is still there... if that's the case you'd want to give mainly N and not much of anything else... anything with P if there is still plenty in the soil is going to cause yellowing unless the N is much higher than the P in the liquid nute ratio. If the soil has just been wiped clean of nutes, a standard feed formula should be fine. Since it's not in flower there is definitely no reason to hit it with a veg N formula. As always when introducing liquid nutes, just start at a lower dose (i usually start at one-third to half) if you are worried about burning and work your way up. You will most likely be fine I think you're over thinking it. I tried to use nutes with my super soil out of impatience and all I got was rapider yellowing and very minor burn signs. You won't fry'em unless you really overdo the nutes. Not to mention if you've vegged her 2 months in super soil she should be pretty nute tolerant :)

Next option would be to amend the soil by working solid fertilizers (i prefer guanos but any that breaks down relatively quickly and is not hot will work) into the top 1-3 inches of soil. Amendments take days to start breaking down and become available to the plants so you might need to give a liquid boost first.
