when do YOU stop feeding?

I have heard mixed opinions on how long to flush but 2 weeks seems to be the most common, and what I have done. I have only used organic nutrients, and never had any problems with taste. Also, what can you do to ensure your buds tighten up? last year some were somewhat fluffy but this year they are looking much better. I was just wondering if there was anything to make em a little more dense

I have heard mixed opinions on gravity as well, assuming you are speaking of humbolt organics gravity? A lot of them were good but said not to use as much as it said, I have never personally used it. Also I might want to add this add is for outdoor plants in the ground, not in a pot. The natural dirt has a lot of clay in it, and it makes a shell around my mix.

I don't flush, no reason to...especially outdoors. I lighten up feeding heading into the final week before harvest, and just give water last three days or so

So keep feeding until I am certain the plants are ready for harvest? then stop for 3 days? how much do you lighten up? 1/2? 1/3? or 1/4?

I have stopped feeding in coco 2-3 weeks before harvest for a long time. Before that I fed up until the last three days.
I remember an improvement in taste when i started to give the 2-3 weeks of no feed.
Many people on RIU feel strongly that the taste is not made better/smoother by letting the plants fan leaves go yellow.
So... I'm going to try it out again on half the plants of two flower rooms, and see if I am remembering correctly.

It wasn't so much that the bud smelt and tasted better as the smoke became much smoother. Less harsh. Bong rips seemed to go down smoother as i fed less and less late in flower. But maybe it was another factor?
I'll know in about 9 weeks.

I've notice improvement in bud density with lower temps and more watts.

this is for outdoor plants, but thank you for that. I just pull the leaves when they turn yellow and don't think much of it. Also, tbh I don't even know what the substrate you grow in is sadly to say. I am using a cheap mixture that has worked wonders. Ever since I was a little kid my grandparents used mushroom compost for their vegetables. She had the biggest plants I had seen then. We used Mushroom compost this year and I believe it worked wonders. Our Blue dream has grown an extra 4 or 5 feet taller than they did last year. Quite simply put, they are monsters at this point. I will post pictures later, but am Kind of paranoid about posting pictures of my plants on here for some reason. I don't like taking them I guess and I only really have my phone and webcam to do so, with the phones geotaging thats kinda out.

i stopfeeding 2 weeks before i think i will harvest...
i don't really believe in flushing to improve taste or to end a bowl with white ash
i only flush to save nutes..

Okay thank you, There is about 3 weeks left, so any time between 2 weeks and 2 days, just do what i normally do I guess? at hydro stores last promo they gave out a product used to flush your plants, I might try it but I don't know very much about their products and I wanted to read up on it first.
