What's For Dinner Tonight?

My dogs had prime rib Outback Steak House steaks last night. They loved them.

They liked the well done one, and they liked the rare one but they did not eat the medium well one.
Because the fucks at Outback must have adopted a policy of just bring the customer what we have on a plate, don't worry
about what he ordered.

Yes a manager brought out a second steak and it too was not prepared to order.

The servers, each of them, tried to deliver plates to a table of 6 with out removing the
appetizer plates, once again left to juggle plates and utensils at the table. [please see previous dismal Thai experience]

So our "hero" goes home hungry once again.

PS: I went back to the restaurant this morning to talk to the day manager.
After providing her with the details of my dining
experience she comped all but the glass of wine my wife had.

That is an acceptable resolution. most likely I will return as now
I have a gift certificate and when they do get it right the steaks are good.

I made a creamy spaghetti with parmesan. For desert I made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting. Made everything from scratch. Of course everything was vegan, even the sugar, white Florida Crystals cane sugar.

chocolate cupcakes with whole vanilla bean butter cream is a big seller in our shop.
My grandson thinks they taste like Oreo cookies.

I don't know what I did wrong. The chocolate cupcakes rose real high and were really round dome shaped. When I made the vanilla cupcakes, they were much flatter on top. Other than that, they tasted really good and super fluffy. Since these were vegan, both recipes were similar to what you'd call quick bread.

That's all that matters. I've made tortillas that looked like Texas. It didn't effect the taste at all. :p

Home made shrimp scampi with rice and wild mushrooms, garden salad w/ Asian ginger dressing
and a raspberry sundae for desert.

Life is good when the chef is in a good mood.

grilled tacos with refritos, chili pequin salsa and guacamole that I made last night. Dessert was pumpkin pie muffins and apple cider for the refreshment.

I'm feeling manly tonight. I'm having a male only barbeque with my brothers. Polish sausages, chorizos, pork ribs, pulled pork, mutton ribs and chicken with a honey barbeque sauce that has a little bite to it. The sides were potato salad, fresh cole slaw, and grilled corn on the cob. We have gallons of iced herbal peach tea and homemade ice cream.
