Ok so i already have a plant full grown i started her in soil no rock cube just soil now i have a new seedling sprouting looking for light in a rockwool cube an i want to put her in soil. So my question is since i follow the Fox Farm schedule on the soil side it says 6tsp of Big Bloom an on the hydroponics side 2tsp big bloom an 1tsp grow big i know it's not rocket science but since it's in a cube an i'm putting the cube in soil makes me very skeptical so what do you guys think i should do an i don't have a hydroponic set up either....:leaf::clap::-P:bigjoint::wall:

Why would you be skeptical about putting a rockwool cube in soil? Did you soak the rockwool 24 hours prior to placing a bean in it?

No i did not but I'm skeptical cause I'm following the fox farm schedule an it says 6tsp of Big bloom an don't know if the nutrient will hit the cube if I'm making any since. But i did soak the cube for 30sec in 6.5 PH distilled water. I don't know about the 24HR soak but willing to learn lol.

a little big bloom is ok but still go very weak solution. remember less is more when it comes to nutes in the early stages.

ive never used rockwool cubes but i would say just plant the seedling with the cube into the soil. you wont need to feed it anything for a few weeks. when you do start the feeding, use 1/4 strength or less nutes than whats shown on the soil chart.

Thanks bra so weak would be i guess 3tsp of big bloom which equals out to be 1tbs right.....? that's 1/4 strength i would think...?

6tsp/ gal is full strength so 6 divided by 4 is 1.5 tsp/gal. = 1/4 strength
So what your saying is only mix 1/2 tsp to a gallon of water just one right not two 1/2 just one 1/2 right lol:confused:

Edit: ok did some math so if 1.5tsp is 7.5 ml that mean i would only mix 1 whole tsp an 1/2 of tsp to one gallon of water. Or what is weak to you like how many do you say i mix for a weak solution...?

yes take a gal of water and add in 1 and 1/2 tsp. of big bloom.

if all your going to water is the 1 seedling then just mix 3/4 tsp to a half gal of water.

you dont want to keep the mixed nute water for more than a couple days. after a couple days throw it out and make a new batch.

as time progresses and the plant is bigger , you will be able to up the strength of the nute solution because the plant will be used to the nutes and will require more to keep growing.
