I was reading a thread a few months ago of a guy who done a test between tap and brita water in a big flood and drain with all sorts of vegetables. Sure enough the filtered watered plants didn't all make it to harvest and the ones that did looked like they were dead. Thats all I know about that. But from what you are writing about your nutes and all that, it's spot on so I don't see why you could be having problems.

Oh it must have been just his filter then, whatever brand it was. But the discussion on it said that Brita filters were the same. Hmm I have been misled. Don't trust everyone you see on the internet.
