It depends really. They all end up being about the same size as if you were growing 1 main. It's IMO the best way to grow cannabis, be it one plant or 30(if you have the space) I'm not a huge fan of SOG.
Bro if you can get 10+ oz from ONE plant I think it's a pretty fucking good technique to grow; I definitely recommend it. Definetly is a GREAT technique. Especially for medical marijuana cause then you can keep your plant count down to like 6 or w/e the law is and have buds equivalant to more than 6 plants. I am definetly gonna do that if I get a medical license saying I can grow. Voting is nov. 6 in massachusetts, but the bill was revised so now your only allowed to grow if you fall under hardship....So now I wonder how hard it is to get the hardship. BUT Medical mj is not legal yet so I want to fit as much bud weight wise into a single space and happened to think to myself, Oh shit, those fucking side brancvhes take up alot of space if growing reg trees. figure I can fit more cause I can fit em closer together without worrying about overshawdowing and mold issues. Plus I would LOVVVVE to get biggg ass buds. easier trimming which means plant looks spectacular to anyone looking at it to buy and they are gonna be way more potent than side branches. but thats just an extra +

. I did a scrog for my first grow in two 35 gallon sterilite bins (2 plants, 100% cfl) and had pretty good results for a newbie:
. Scrog if you don't mind vegging a little longer than usual and don't mind touching your plants everyday, LST if you want to train, finish quick and have a plant that requires less maintenance. Sorry if that's a lot of pics...but I'm high and felt like sharing lol.

For a noob that's pretty damn good; natural green thumb. Same thing happen to me with my second to last grow; I ran out like 3 weeks before harvest and I started "sampling" , ended up with a quarter of the plant missing, oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do. Actually right now I've been without smoke for a whole month and it's been good to tell you the truth. It was a while since I was completely clean and since I don't drink alcohol, this is the first time since I was a kid that I've been sober and clean. It's always good to get your tolerance level back to a minimal so your harvest last longer you know. I have a dual site 15 gal Rubbermaid home made DWC/drip system going on right now; Blue Lemon Thai and Green Bud from CH9 seeds that should be ready in 3 more weeks; using a micro-pore air-stone and a 110 lpm air pump; the setup is a beaut if I may say so. Next grow with a PE but in a Waterfarm and SCROG wit the same air stone and 400W cool tube. It'll be my first PE ever so I've been roaming this thread to get feedback. She seems to be an impressive strain. Since now I know I can go a lot without smoke I'm gonna take my time to really SCROG this girl right and even tie her down; I wanna try a combination of early LST to lay her flat and then SCROG the shoots that come form that thus creating more tops. Best SCROG I ever had was a 40 top ICE from nirvana, gave me around 5 ounces, highly recommend that strain; it'll knock you on your ass for sure. Would have had many more colas....but ended up sampling both plants several times since I was without weed lol!
Anyway...wanted to try LST this grow and compare the results...I love them both the same
