Funny thing is that the Federal Government has the exact same law... So, why hasnt Barak Obama struck that down yet???
Awesome
this will push amnesty up the schedule faster
Then they can use the law to detain you since you dont carry proof of citizenship on you

oh, you mean the same exact part that the SCOTUS just upheld?

what news!

the SCOTUS upheld only that one part of the law, and they gave no qualifiers on how it may NOT be enforced, only giving a very vague guide as to how it could be enforced (reasonable suspicion).

what exactly is "reasonable suspicion"? that's up to interpretation, will eventually be overstepped, and will be sent right back to the courts.

but congrats on your redundant article, landscaper dude.

Reasonable suspicion has been pretty well quantified, lots and lots of precedence there. Nothing new under the sun here.

I dont need proof, I am a US citizen. I know my name, SSN, address & birth date. I will be happy to prove that I am a citizen if it ever comes up to law enforcement.

that part of the law has been struck down by the SCOTUS, actually.
So bogus

Becuase I just knew a cop would use that part of the law to detain anyone who wasnt carrying a passport or birth certificate as just another tool to trample your rights regardless of skin tone or accent

Yes, just like the Joe Arpaio lawsuit that was suddenly dropped for LACK OF EVIDENCE!!

I dont believe that all of our nations police officers are racist pigs waiting to inconvenience legal Hispanic citizens. And apparently the courts agree with me...

None of that proves you are a citizen
only a passport or birth certificate does
and the birth certificate needs other backing documents

Yes, because we all know that cops LOVE to waste their time detaining legal citizens and their bosses love them for it too!!

the booming private prison industry in AZ that jan brewer is in tight with.

conflict of interest?

Well, they would have to have reasonable suspicion to think that I was in the country illegally. And a drivers license and the information above is more than enough to eliminate any suspicion.

You do understand that the only thing that they can do at that point is turn the person over to ICE... Are you saying you dont trust the federal government? I though you liked to get buttfucked by it daily....

but with respect to what is reasonable suspicion for being a citizen?

hornet's nest waiting to be stepped in by an overzealous LEO.

Yeah... except that you have to be convicted of a crime to spend significant time in prison.

Like the office of SHERIFF ARPAIO who just went to jail for breaking federal law... Oh wait, no he didnt... ALL CHARGES WERE DROPPED!!!

Maybe it was just some pissed off illegals funded by the liberal amnesty groups that were making all the noise eh?

yeah, the SCOTUS had no idea what they were doing when they upheld and sent back that one provision with the vaguest of vague guidelines for enforcement.

why are you trying to change the subject of your very own thread?

No I think some cops suck ass
Like the ones with the laptops who are behind NLXK1 and run his plate and see the owner NLX has a ticket for smoking a joint
So he pulls you over for "weaving"
eventually gets around to asking you if you have drugs
searches your car without your permission
has your car towed
and then after finding nothing but still thinking you are hiding something
asks for proof of citizenship becuase you may be a illegal canadian
you dont have it?

You sit in jail until someone brings a pssport or birth certificate

Oh yeah they aint gonna give you a ride to impound
and since a private company towed your vehicle you dont get it back until you pay the towing fees

But you are not crying and whining that the Federal Government can do the same damn thing... Somehow that is ok...
