This line of indoctrination is exactly what the rich would have you believe. This is an inherited opinion. Few "hate" the rich. If you read the Constitution, government has a host of 'jobs" beyond protecting us from enemies. It would be wise of you to read the entire document and not just presume that one part of an oath is the entirety of the government's constitutional duties.

I have never had a problem starting a company Rob. If you have done so legitimately you will find that the vast majority of regulations and hinderances on small businesses are not Federal but local, state and municipality. People who complain about federal interference usually have never started a company and know little about what the real impediments are.

Deserving has nothing to do with it. If a person owns a company they also own the profit. Are workers free to leave and seek employment elsewhere or pool resources and start their own business? If the answer is yes, how has "the community" been harmed? Are they forced to stay ?

Funding schools? They do that thru force right? So it seems that what you are advocating is a preference for force, rather than free association....

One of the companies I started had a resultant waste stream of soapy water and glycerine Rob. If it were truly "my" company and "my" land then I should have been allowed to simply dig a big ditch and pour all of the waste stream into that hole. One of the regulations I was forced to abide by prohibited that - it may have poluted the ground water, it may have poluted the land itself, even if that land was mine. You have a problem with such a regulation?

You seem to love to make generalizations such as "they want to pay all employees 'twice what they are worth'" Who determines this? Who is "they"? damn those they that want to champion regulations for a company going belly up. You tend to forget the fish that would go belly up if it were not for such regulations. You forget the commons that business regularly infringe upon unless they are given hard guidelines and harsh punishment for such abuse.

And you now seem to claim that liberals who take issue with business practices are lazy (not all) and are incapable in one way or another of starting one.

Tell you what - I am kinda lazy, I don't work as hard as I should but I have started 4 businesses, two in tech, one in alternative fuels and one in biology. Three have been sucessful, and we will see about the last one.

2 .... sold both years ago for a great profit and one I still receive royalties from...but I paid employees more than my competitors did and therefore had much better and dedicated employees...you do get what you pay for....

Now i am a plant manager...ie I grow cannabis...but not for money...for pleasure and sell nothing ever....I live from the sales proceeds of the businesses and royalties which are also partially invested...and the growing is harder than anything I ever did for the businesses...But I have a most wondrous life now and no financial worries...never want to open another business...glad I am comfortable and done with the rat race

I've owned 3 different businesses since the mid 80's, never needed anyone's permission. What are you talking about?

I was never able to preserve enough of a company to sell it as an entity - most of my endeavors have been pretty forward reacting. I do believe that the one I am currently involved with will have a market value - if certain laws fall my way in the next few years.
