Obama himself said that if unemployment was above 5% (or was it 6%) his would be a one-term presidency. None of you lefties seem to care, and he might get reelected despite the economy, but I am guessing that a bunch of independents, who voted for Obama last time are going to vote differently this time. The government surely can kill an economy, see the Soviet Union and Communist China. About the only thing a government can do to boost an economy is step aside, see Russia and current China .

I believe he was there because they wanted to show the country that not every Hollywood celebrity is an Obama supporter. I agree that the Romney camp was pretty frazzled after his speech. I enjoyed seeing Mr Eastwood and hearing that he supported Romney. But I also think Rubio saved the day... Rubio's speech was awesome and very inspiring. I personally will be voting for Romney in November... I know not every one will agree with me, even if you don't, Get out and vote!!!! And peace be with all of you!
