Dan, that's not the cut from Harborside, is it? Seems a little massive to've gotten that big since when you picked up the cut at HHC. Where is that cut from?

Can't tell if it's a winner until the buds are dry. Lot of things to consider. Big colas are always nice, but density, color, smell, flavor, and thc/cbd testing also count.

Animal cookies are fantastic.
Oh, and not all the phenos of GSC have that kind of node spacing. There are a lot of low yielding GSC phenos out there.

I think the GSC phenos we are seeing popping up in clubs are the low yielding ones. The ones I've got from clubs seem like they won't yield much. I think you have to get GSC from seed to get a legit pheno. I doubt anyone is going to sell a decent pheno of this strain at clubs.
Animal cookies are clone only I believe and would be a solid choice.

Are you running the Animal Cookies too, Dan? Also, how's your DHN "platinun" cut coming along? The nodal growth seems slow to develop, but the foliage and the plant itself is hearty as hell. Seems like the platinum could be good. The MO Thin Mint cut they also have doesn't look bad either. Very reminiscent of Cherry Pie, side-by-side difficult to tell the difference other than the tell-tale aroma of tha pie.

No. The strain I bought as animal cookies appears to be a fake.
I actually traded both my platinum cuts for an elite pheno of pineapple kush. The guy I traded them too is vegging them out still and is going to give me a cutting when they are ready.
Yeah, I have the MO thin mint cut. I'm not impressed so far. Looks like it's going to put out quality bud, but the yield is too low for me to work with. Don't think it's going to be a keeper. But IDK, I'm going to reserve judgement until it's finished. Maybe it'll surprise me. You never can tell until it's all dried out.

The MO cut I've seen was extremely meek and had to be mothered back to health. It now has surprising vigor. Was your similar? Did yours bounce back to life? Sounds like it may not have. Good luck to you! Also, why'd you trade both the platinums? Couldn't keep one? It's got amazing leathery leaves. Not like any GSC I've seen photos of on any threads, but have not heard mention of the "platinum" pheno/cut until recently. It's got an eery tinge to the foliage. Almost a blueish tint.

Never had any health issues with any of my GSC's. They all seemed healthy enough. But I'm pretty good at making plants healthy.
They seem plenty vigorous, But they just aren't forming big colas. Just sporadic buds here and there. I have no use for plants like that.
It was the price I had to pay. Worth it. Ever had pineapple kush? I'll take an elite pheno of that over a store bought cutting of platinum cookies any day of the week.
Truely elite phenos of just about any strain are pretty rare and almost never shared. This pheno was selected from 5k seedlings. You can't buy something like that in a store. It's worth it at any price. It puts out better quality buds than just about any other pineapple kush (which is already a top shelf strain) and yields really fat. Even if pineapple kush blows up and everyone starts growing it, I'll still be able to put out something better than everyone else.
It's a great strain. I was sad to give it up. Hopefully the guy I traded it to comes through with clones.

i heard the platinum cookies i picked was actually thin mints or something according to their twitter.....the DHN gsc was apparently listed as platinum cookies but then i started seeing the twitter stuff...
how long have you been vegging the pie? Both my cherry pies didnt like being transplanted and are still looking shocked while all the other strains look good

I can assure you, I have it on high authority, that the DHN cut that was labeled Platinum Cookies was in fact distinct from Thin Mint. Not just based on distinct appearance, but based on what the head sourcer at HHC has said DHN has both Thin Mint & Platinum, MO has both Thin Mint & Platinum cuts. I have yet to see the MO Platinum cut, but have seen the other three iterations. They mentioned on twatter that sample flower of the two types is on its way.

Those cuts were distributed through harborside. The idiots at the clone counter thought it would be funny to hand out thin mints to people who asked for platinum cookies. DHN brought in one trey of platinum cookies (50 clones). I was there waiting for DHN to bring them in. I watched DNH put them on the shelf and I was first in line to get them. When I came up to the counter to get them I watched the clone cutters go grab clones out of a different trey and try to hand me those. I refused them and told them I wanted clones out of the right trey. They said they were the same thing, just smaller and told me to get them. I refused and again insisted on getting the real ones. Finally I got them. The guy in line behind me wasn't so lucky.
I've vegged for a little more than a week. They did not like being transplanted at all. I'm just finally getting significant growth out of them. But they are hurting.

The Thin Mint Cookies I saw at HHC when they had the Platinum also, was very measly and small (like you say) while the Platinum cut was a quality DHN cut, nice & tall as is the norm with DHN's cuts. Pretty hard to confuse the two, that's for sure!
Anybody who would have been fooled by the Thin Mint cut (thinking it was a DHN) would have to know nothing about the quality standards to expect from a DHN cut (especially paying $50). That's beyond f-ked that the yahoos at the counter are trying to dick people around. Wonder how they'd like to be out of their couch job and on the receiving end of that counter. Derelict chumps. HHC, if you're listening, you ought hire qualified professionals. Seriously. It's a straight migraine dealing with their uneducated pompous "employees". Ha! Dan, you saw someone purchase one of the small little MO Thin Mint plants as a $50 DHN cut? Straight sleazy.
