growing in a corn field?

so i have been looking all over for a place to grow, and i just got a magical thought with my high brain, why not a corn field, its already fertilized, and after the weed killer you are safe to grow, no need to worry about deer unless you have those odd ones that have banged their head on too many trees? i did some research and have found people with great results! but only on one condition am i ok with growing on others land, and that is if it was found the farmer would not get in trouble as there would be no way those were his own, which the field by my house is owned by a farmer that lives 12 miles away and has fields spread all over, atleast 20 miles is his farthest field id say, so what do you guys and gals think???

Because it's about harvest time and the corn will be harvested and it will be bare and everyone will see your shit. Do you really think it's going to sit there that much longer? Fall is coming. Besides, it's too late for an outdoor grow this year. If you don't realize that you need to find another hobby.

Not to mention when corn is planted they are close as shit, you'd have to cut some down to create the space. Also, corn isn't THAT tall, 6.5' max, and you know, marijuana doesn't exactly look like corn. Would be amazingly easy to spot by heli.

ALSO, farmers are having a hard enough time as is this year with the drought, and you have the audacity and nerve to grow on their shit.

I have a better idea, find a roommate that doesn't care or live on your own.

i wasnt planning on growing this year first of all, and second feed corn they use a combine to harvest, which picks up everything no matter what it is so the crop would be gone but thats not till later on in the year, way after they will be mature enough... and no i wouldnt have to cut down anything cause i would grow in a less dense area of the field, which there usually are, and i probably wont even have to do that, here they dont plant it close at all, and corn here gets pretty damn high, higher than most plants, and i dont need corn to look like weed.... it is great camouflage weather it looks like it or not, and i wouldnt be taking water from their crop, with a grow of 5 plants or so it wouldnt do much if any damage to their crop, plus their crop would be using my water also...

Why not just try one here - one there. Its all about a learning process - on m any different levels. Be-careful. Maybe you could cut a deal with the farmer. You never know.
If you can "Talk" with him, you maybe amazed. Good Luck....

i guess i could try, i kind of know him, ive talked to him before, seems like a nice guy, but i hear stories from a friend of mine that rides through their property with his dirtbike cause there is no way around it of some of the workers there shooting at him when he is on the trail away from his crop which i dont know if i believe him, but you never know, but that is right next to the actual farm, i am talking a spot where they rarely check for anything, and they never do anything with it, i dont even think they put weed killer down, maybe they do...

Hmmmmmm, somebody just posted today asking when corn is harvested LOL
Do you really want to plant on somebody else's property and fire up that controversy? Do you really want to worry about your plants getting found, or hacked down?

That was a bad topic to bring up to begin with, but often times, a few details will prevent some of the darts being thrown at you.
BUT, as far as your quote, too many things you say conflict with each other.

A less dense area of the field defeats the purpose, you didn't say where you were that the corn gets "pretty damn high", nobody said you needed corn to look like weed, nobody asked about the 'weather', and you're trying to say that you would not use their water, but what water you DID carry in, if any would help water the corn???????

And, you're posting this because you didn't like the answers you got from the post very similar to this earlier this afternoon?????

There are a few problems with growing on farmland, even big farms, farmers and farm hands tend to spend a lot of time tending to their crops because that is how they make a living. They are depending on those crops to put food on their table. It may not seem like it to you, but trust me, they pay very close attention to their land. You might not be worried about deer, but you should be. Deer are already going to be attracted to the corn and when/if notice your plants you better believe they will wreck havoc on them. If you try to plant in an open area your plants will be noticed, you would need to plant them in the middle of the field, not on the edges. Have you wondered why they don't plant anything on the edges of the field? That's because they use those ares to turn the tractors and farm equipment around to go up and down the rows, your plant would get run over. Which brings up another point, if you tried planting in between rows of corn your crop would be trampled by the tractors also. Running out of option's aren't you? You could try planting in-line with the corn. But the problem with corn is it's so damn tall, it would choke your plant out. Cornfields are not ideal for planting MJ. I don't know what area you live in but if you can find a field that has soybeans, peanuts, cabbage, etc you would be better off.

You've never grown outside and know nothing about farms. The corn will be ripe and combined before your stuff even buds good. Also, how do you explain slinking into Old McDonald's corn field repeatedly? Why not plant a few pumpkins, on YOUR property, and just lay them next to that vine? Works like a charm and nobody will see it laid down like that.

My question is why make this post if you're going to get mad at the responses or get defensive? You asked what people thought and most people are going to tell you its too risky. Why make multiple posts asking about something that you supposedly don't plan on doing this year?

I know what a combine is. I've seen one, sat in one, driven one. You clearly have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. You plant a marijuana plant out doors in April, it won't be done until Late Sept-October. You plant one in February, it won't be done until late Sept-October. They flower according to the sun, not when you plant it you babbling buffoon. Idiots like you give cannabis a bad name.

Research genetically modified crops. Over 80% of the cash crops like corn are gmo and the have spliced in characteristics like roots that produce a grub killing pesticide released into the soil. That shit takes years and years to wash out of the soil. Plus the toxic herbicides and pesticides are usually sprayed though out the growing season. Plus hellicocksuckers easily spot patches in the corn field. My advice is if you wanna grow near there find a fencerow (the boundaries of the field) and plant in there usually there are trees and natural forage like long grasses.

I'm guessing he lives in Iowa. There aren't many trees in Iowa lol. The ones that are usually are in town. The country side is nothing but corn. Literally.

If you want to go in a corn field then go for it. There are plenty of people i know that grow in them. You need a early flowering strain as most corn is being harvested by the middle of october. Wait at least 30 days after they spray the fields in the spring to plant. Beans are a no-go around here as they have a tendecy to have spidermites and are harvested in mid to late september. I farmed for 25 years and out of those they found only 1 patch of plants in that time.

Little late I think all corn around me has been harvested along with my few girls damn combine had to start on the side with my plants at least I know when abouts they harvest this field now they usually plant the same time every year and harvest about the same time if they grow the same kind of corn . If u want to grow in a corn field need to learn about corn as well. Some spray round up more than 1time just depends on the farmers . Bigger the field the better off mine were only 4 rows in and all together just did a dump and run not much thought went into it and they were never found and a pretty busy street is next to it .
