Ever smoked hemp?

Go to Home Depot or Blowes and get them to heat cut you a bit of hemp rope. Makes the whole store reek! LOL!

They don't sell hemp rope anymore. Are any of you awake? Hemp is pot! You guys are blathering like it's a different plant. How can you possibly not know this?

Incorrect. Commercial hemp is a sativa.

No, same plant. Why do you think you can't buy hemp rope anymore? They just cultivate it differently, like packing them together just a couple of inches apart. They grew it for the stalk, not the bud. Sativa was preferred because it grew taller, giving more stalk(fiber).

We had tons of it growing in Nebraska. Too many seeds to even think about trying to smoke but they where still fun to moch xmas tree them.

No, it is intact the same plant. Its more comparing AK-47 to Northern Lights. Hemp will flower just like any other strain except hemp is a strain known for being very tall with little branching, as well as small flowers with low cannabinoid levels. It is in fact cannabis and does in fact produce cannabinoids.

It's sisal, a poor substitute. hemp rope can not be imported.

however - industrial hemp is required to have less than 1% THC content in many regions - how can you get that from a sativa?

Cultivar selection, is my guess. Wild-type sativa has low THC and total cannabinoids. Thirty years ago, brick drug sativa was 1-2% THC and not much CBD at all. cn

so that says to me that many sativas out there could be like hemp - but they are certainly not useless medically..

But the Wisconsin "ditchweed" came from an especially low-THC cultivar of C. sativa L., and it's good for a practical joke. Or newsprint. Imo. cn

i mean like - hemp weed that might taste good - why i started this thread - i am trying to quit tobacco and right now i have been smoking some 'herbal cigs' ecstacy brand.. they taste pretty bad compared to a cig or weed... but, i still imagine that a person could smoke hemp and feel better than with any current cigarette,,, now that i know it is a sativa we are talking about - it is more realistic that there are good tasting hemps no?

i am thinking mostly of an alternative to tobacco. no high and no cancer/respiratory disease..!
i don't often want any kind of high from cigs.. just relief of tension, time wasting, etc..

Smoking gives repiratory disease regardless of what you are smoking. Burning the bud produces tar and lots of carcinogens.

There's cigarette from India called a "Bidi" (sic?) that contains no tobacco. Don't know about health issues. Some Indian owned stores sell them. Taste is actually good. A Indian friend gave me a pack. She sold them $1.25 a pack a few years ago.

actually even hemp is illegal in the good ole us of a.. this is pretty much due to WR Hearst back in the 30s.. he was a super publicist and had a shit ton of acres of trees, and when hemp gained popularity, he was set to lose millions of dollars back then, so probably more like billions in today's economy..
so what did he do?? he went on the rampage and released and pushed films like reefer madness, and also printed tons of bs stories in his many papers, and pretty much single handedly made hemp and mj illegal..

Dupont, paper and cotton companies were in on it to. Over 25,000 textiles were made from it. You can literally make damn near anything from it.

I've smoked it. It taste and smells like bud. Even looks like bud. You can tell the difference if you know what to look for.

Its better to do an extraction on it with pure grain alcohol. It makes a great medicine for pain, inflammation, sleep problems and many other health reasons.

If it hasn't been sprayed with toxic chemicals it shouldn't give you a headache.
