I have a garden grow that has, well, gotten out of control. I've always used good bagseeds before, so this time I ordered a few different strains to try, mainly based on size- trying to stay small to medium in stature. And freebies. I took advantage of our early spring and ended up with a couple of monsters, )guess I didn't think that part through), usually planting around the end of May, this time at the end of March.
Now they've taken on their notorious cylindrical bud branches, and look like major pot plants in my garden.
All that shit being said, I saw some bunches of these daisies and lillie at wally world- cheap, and thought I'd give them a makeover and see if might help.
At the distance these pics were taken, It's obvious as the nose on your face. But at 30-50 yards, the distance my neighbor might see them, the look like something different- quite a bit.
I'm sure I'm not the first to try this, because I read a post somewhere that a guy was using red and green christmas balls as tomatoes.
Anybody else?
1) 'Urcela'- Northern Lights that has been tied down from day one. Her trunk and 4 branches are about 6" off the ground. 6'x8' approx
2) Afghan - Never seen the likes of it before, the way it grows and flowers. Anyone grown this before?
3) 'MyHo Flo'- NYC Diesel freebie- She and her sister are beasts. This one wasn't topped, and has been tied down all her life. She's about 9' long
4) Flo's Ho sister 'Jo'- She's the one in the back, in a corner, pulled back as far out of sight as I can get her, and the 2 tallest cola's pulled over, below the fence line. About 2 weeks before she started showing hair in her cootchie, I literally cut here off below my belt with a pair of hedgeclippers. She'd be a 12 footer if I hadn't.
5) 'SumYungChic'- Thai stick. Same thing- hacked her off at the same time, though I had already pruned her to 4 branches, and have tied them out from early on.
Ideas? My garden just doesn't hide them anymore.
