Cloning Experement - Honey vs Schultz Take Root vs Clonex gel

I put up a nylon trellis in my 5x10 tent this round because I have 13 different strains and didnt want to deal with trying to support them individually after dealing with different stretch, and its worked out great so far. Nice and easy to raise it if and when you need to. I placed the first level, and as soon as the plants were all grown into it and spread evenly, I put the second level about 12" up and switched the lights over. Seems to be working pretty well. I'd still use at least one stake with each plant though. Every plant in my garden has a stake to help keep the trellis in place as well as give something to tie to later if needed.

Tahoe OG are front right. You can expect up to triple the size, but it depends how trained they are. More tops means less total stretch.

I'll be following for testing the medium after compounds too. +rep
Nice grow.

I wasn't using the Olivia's liquid, i used the Olivia's cloning gel twice on 2 rounds of cuts and got like 0 out of 12 both times after multiple weeks. I think i'll add some Rapid Start to my babies that are in the coco right now, they could probably use it. I have it so why not. The cuts are and ones rooting in Coco are getting 60ml a gal of Rhizotonic right now which hopefully is plenty to get them rooted great. We'll see
Ohh you were using the Gel?! I hate the Gel! it never worked for me. Root Tech Gel is the only one I use. It sure does help bring out the most of the roots using the Rapid Start.

I've see that one in the hydro stores. If I dont get satisfactory results with any of the 4 compounds i'm trying right now maybe i'll buy some and give it a shot.

Agreed on the Olivia's gel being shit. Seriously i got 0 out of 24 cuts in 2 different attempts with it. I may have even thrown it away....

Hey Mike91sr, Nice garden. Those Tahoe look nice! What's the big tall one in back? Thanks for the tips, i'll try to figure out a way of rigging up 2 nets in there if possible and throw a stake in each one once im done vegging.

Thanks for the Rep+! ... did you forget to hit the button though? LOL Anyway Rep+ back at ya for the advice and tips thanks!
hahah yeah I did forget actually. Not too much of a rep/like person because so many people give it out for no reason, and maybe a little too baked at the time, so it may have gotten by lol.

And thanks, that back one is Sour Cream (g13 haze x sour diesel). Stretchy bitch, just over 7' tall now, hopefully about done lol. :weed:

So it's been a little over 48 hours since taking the cuttings and planting them except for the 2 water only cuts which were about 14 hours later.

All the cuts are nice and perky, they have looked just like below since about 12 hours after taking them. No visible roots on the outside of the plugs yet as expected this early in the game.

When I check the cuts for roots im using a straw to push up on the bottom of the plug from the hole in the tray. Then when it gets high enough i can grasp the plug, never the cut. I do not want to disturb the rooting and prolongate the process in any way.

And the verdict is? I'm interested in the honey... Fits in with the whole KISS principle nicely, some people go to real lengths when propagating...i don't believe it has to be so ' involved' ...

I just got a some clones flowering in the 2nd week to root in 9 days with that schultz powder it worked (first time cloning) , very half assed didnt mist (didnt have my sprayer) dome made out of a glacier bay bottle and didnt ph the water straight from tap,in root riot .dont mean to intrude in the thread love the experiment diffidently staying tuned for this 1

No intrusion at all :) Thanks for stopping by and giving your experience, especially with pics. :peace:bongsmilie

Look I'm an outdoor grower so I only know dirt. And I'm not a "bro" and I have poor vision. Sorry I ever rep+'d you.

Okay they are in Root Riots, the ones on the left are the ones with honey. Marked with an H. You should have been more specific and said you couldnt see the pics clearly enough to discern what was what. The middle ones are the rooting powder and the ones on the right clonex.

I totally missed the initials so I'll accept one facepalm. I really don't know what root riots are but I'll look them up. Still sorry I repped you :P

^

Root Riots would be the best plug for you to use in soil Laney. It's just a plug of coco or some crap compressed. Glad it's my fault you missed the initial post and all the pics so your sorry you Rep'd me :wall:

Hopefully you enjoy the rest of the experiment. :peace::leaf:

I am sorry that I rep'd you because instead of helping me out while I was having a brain fart, you played the fool.

Frankly, I teach research design at the graduate level and it thrills me to see people attempting to employ the scientific method in their grow rooms (however flawed their little experiments may be). You don't have to act like an ass now that you're playing scientist. We are usually much humbler than that (if we're any good).

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, the rest of us would like to move on from proof that one's level of education is not equivalent to one's level of comprehension and get on with this experiment's results. I eagerly await witnessing the power of honey.
