will foliar feedings influence soil pH?

So i have some dyna gro protekt that i want to incorporate into my regimen. I used it a couple times in a gallon of water applied directly to the soil but im afraid of ruining my soil pH (protekt is a known pH up)

If i use strictly as a foliar feed every evening will my soil pH still be affected? Or will it not be bc im just feeding the leaves with it?

Thanks guys

hey man,I personally don't know much, but i believe a foliar application should not effect soil ph, unless it somehow enters the soil... like from dripping down the stem. maybe cover the dirt with plastic wrap while theyre being sprayed, being careful when you spray and also when you remove the wrap from your pot, you should be fine. but again, im only guessing. but everything i've read up till now leads me to believe that. good luck with your grow

No it doesn't. I hear foliar feeding helps the plant uptake the nutrients already in the soil as well......I think it's true.

why you no use ph down?
i use pro-tekt once every two weeks 4ml per gal....
you just have to use ph down with it...
Lol im assuming you mean to manually adjust the ph of the solution?

And thanks for answering everyone... i think imma do that and foliar feed anyways (maybe not everyday though) with a few soil drenches in between...this stuff stores for a long time as a solution so i could just make a big batch and ph adjust it once. I hate adjusting pH (lazy haha :weedsmiley: )

To be honest im new to this pH stuff and i thought the protekt just messed with the soil in a way that upped pH, i didnt even know using pH down would work...yes im a noob lol

Well I am glad we got all that worked out...I got cocky and stopped checking my pH for a little bit, but then I started using the ProTekt here and there, and then I started seeing all these weird pH looking issues, and then it hit me...Lol. I have to use more than my normal dose of pH down, if I use the pro-Tekt.

Why do you foliar feed in the evening and not on the plants wake up cycle? :/
Ive havent foliar fed yet but i can only do evenings bc i work at 5am in west LA meaning i wake up at like 330am and am gone til 3pm...i barely wake up in time to eat breakfast, much less to feed my girls lol they're in shade and therefore sprayable relatively early in the afternoon so im not too worried about mold or anything

Oh okay. I figured it was related to your work schedule
