I have had bittorrent on my computer for years now. I use Extra Torrent as my main torrent search engine because it has all the new releases with pics of the show/movies/music or what ever. I also use BTJunkie and Pirate Bay.

I use the torrentz.com or .eu as well. I'm a fan of rarbg as they show a preview in screen caps and usualy a box cover for vid just by rolling over the title. Ya know in case you want to look at something before ya down load it, ya dig? btjunkie was awesome as was the empornium before they shut down as well.
I still shed a tear over my 400 capacity cd case that got ripped years ago. Some rare dj shadow, clutch, and some music my buddies and I made on a tascam zip disc 16 track recorder was in there...

I do, I just like the fact that rarbg all you have to do is roll over the link and a pop sample jumps off the screen. It's good if you're searching keywords and not titles per say or are unfamiliar with the cover of weapons of ass destruction III for example.

Can someone tell me where to get music? I used to Kazaa back in the day but they were busting so many people I didn;t look for another P2P when they shut down. As I looked at my new email receipt for another $31 to itunes today, I was thinking how much I would love to find another music download site. What's safe, with a great selection? How do I block my IP?
Could one of you spell it out for the old guy?

www.torrentz.com is like a torrent database of a few torrent sites,all you do is go their,type in whatever you want,and then you just link off to where that torrent is at.

Anyone else ever get the email from your ISP? I downloaded Dinner For Schmucks (Worst fucking movie ever, was SOOO not worth getting "caught") and about a week later I received an email saying they knew what was up. They had the site I downloaded it from, upload/download rates, times... it was creepy. That was the end of it though, no other letters or emails again.
Since I've downloaded a pretty good amount of stuff with no problems. I've only heard of one person I actually know that has been "busted." They settled out of court with the music company for a much smaller amount.

I've never got the email,but this might get me to start hiding my IP before I start downloading another torrent.

I downloaded a quick program? (I guess thats what it would be, seems to just be a simple command script) that supposedly blocks out all the IPs that are "harmful". IE the ones the big movie and music companies use to detect people who are uploading/ downloading.
It's called IPupdater, and now that I found the link I think it MAY only be for uTorrent users.

Just update it every once in a while and run it, and then your done. It runs inside of uTorrent so it's not another program being used on your CPU.
*I just ran it on my computer, takes less than a minute. You dont have to re-download the script for it to keep you up to date. Evey time you run this script it updates all of the Bad IPs for you. I just leave a shortcut next to my uTorrent icon on my desktop so I remember it.
