Techs for hardening buds

Mr I Can Do That For Half
So I always am ready and trying differnt methods and I figured Id ask what some of the user on this site do to help make thier buds as dense as possible either scret mixes or additives or ways to setup thier grow rooms. Ill start it off with some of my ways... I like to add co2 to the flower rooms at 1200-1500 ppm to help make larger fuller buds. I also like to use additives like sweet, sugar daddy,Beatie bloomz, and Humbodlt countys gravity flower hardener. I also find good air flow makes a big difference and using HId lights as close to the plants as possible makes a major difference. The last little thing I do is to also replace my light bulbs every 3 grows max to keep the light maxed and efficient..Lets hear everyone elses secrets and tips whether the same or something different..

Im glad this thread went up becuase i wondering the same thing or differant techniques. I was told as the more grows you do the better they get and the tighter the nugs are. but if i use the same technique for this grow as i did for the last, wont i have the same results??

I have seen great results with stuff called The Headies from Hollands Secret, I have a post about it. Also before going into flowering during the 5th - 7th week of veg I used prop-o-gator to increase root structure in hopes to increase hormone development. I think it worked because i have bud sites all over the stalk and none are underdeveloped. Also used LST too . I will put new picks up soon.

i like the LST technique. giving each bud a chance to fully fill in rather then cropping the top and waiting for them to fill in.

i use some greenlite super bloom 12/55/6, w/ molasses for the whole flower stage ,..and i make a tea made of (* coffee grounds & egg shells* boiled & strained).. 2ml corn syurup.. 1tsp dolomite lime , 1 tsb epsom salt, 10 ml fish emulsion))) i mix up this tea which is about 1 cup & add 50ML of the tea with every feeding ,, i also like to do the method i call *stretch squeeze*, what i do for this is i have my setup tied off to an actuiator which is set to a seperate timer .. its liek a hydrolic arm ,, so for 12 hours 1 day ,, the arm will be lowered so the lights set 6-8 inches above the tops , the next day for 12 hours the arm will be pulled up ,.making the lights set about 3 feet from the tops ,,, so its up 1 day & down the next day ,, for the whole flowering stage ,,, i have had better results than the exact same strain in a diff room same lights same conditions , with NO hydrolic pully ,, and yeilded about 14grams less than the plant with the pully system

what is lST technique???
LST is low stress training ,, its when u tie down the branches little by little ,so u dont break em ... it lets more light get into the center lower parts of the plant , which will make for a better yeild ,... dont use fishing string ,, its too thin ,, i have used a fat shoelace & tie it around the stems ( not tight to the stem) leave loose so it dont cut off circulation.... then tie them down somwhere ,,, i use the same bucket i have my plants in ,.... get scissors & make lil cuts on the top curlover edge of the bucket & pull the string in that lil cut slot ,, them when u need to pull tighter ,, u just pull string out , pull tighter & wedge it back in the slit

low stress training. you can keep tying the stemm to force the plant to bend knowing it will keep going up. there for you may end upwith a plant that is say 36'' but if you uncoiled it would be more like48'' now you have optimized yourspace and gave your plant light in areas it would not have gotten light before...

do you have any pictures. i completly understand how to do it from your explanation. but how high up the stem would you put the string? and once you have the string in position, do you ever relocate it as the plant grows?

you will get tighter buds on your lower bud sights because they will be getting a lot more direct light. often times people have very soft fluffy buds lower on the plant and lst is one way to solve this problem.

so do you tie down every couple stems or just the main stem. Does anyone have a pic of this. just curious as to which way would give you best results. I understand the concept, just wondering how many stems should be tied down.

i jently bend the plant right over so its top leaves are very low i then cut of the side branches at the bottom that wont get lite leaving the top side ones to do there stuff using this method will give you simalare results to topping just without the strees

check out youtube im sure there is a video on there that shows it all

id just like to say that dank nugs are largely contingent upon strain too..

i think if you let the plant flower for an extra couple weeks, or so, that the buds pack on more trichs and become danker :D
