cut tops, let bottoms grow more?

i cut the tops of my plant to expierement the trichombes thing. these all have cloudy and then for the rest of the plant im gonna let it get half and half amber.

good or bad idea?

also how do i get my weed to look like this:

All non-leafy looking because mine is kinda leafy....somewhat dense not realy...ima put it in brown bag overnight then cure

The other bud is trimmed a lot more too! I like to get right down to the bud with very little leaf, I find it looks much nicer and I enjoy using the trim for hash or canna butter. Nice work!

soooo many factor to get the buds to look like that,..
1 i think you early harvested your crop
2 what type of light you have... sstronger closer light will make you nugz tighter... strain has some to play.. but light and age at harvest is the must important.. lets not forget the drying a curing .. thes will tighten then nugz greatly
3 what method are you using to tell when to harv.
and no, it will not hurt to let the bottom go longer

it also looks like you could have let it grow like 2 more weeks to give it time to fill out.

your bud looks fluffy. i'd tell you to get better lights. strong light = big,tight nugs.

this is a Purps on a 250w HPS after 77 days 12/12 from seed. it's dense as hell.

just so you know for the future, buds were harvested weeks early. these could have gone till september

Like others have mentioned, you harvested way too early. You could stand to trim tighter as well. I personally trim my plants so they are even less leafy than that bud pic you attached

i know ima let it grow for a bit longer now, im just experimenting with the trics... its my first grow and i got another one untouched that looks great, better than the buds i attached. what do you mean trim tighter?
