There is grass in your pot?! THAT GRASS!! So I'm feelin happy n shit! My girls are being all pretty n shit! They're all black. Cuz they bee FREAKS!
Grass (and many other plants, such as clovers) are very good to grow with cannabis! Some of them deter bugs, and help MJ process nutrients better...among other benefits that I've forgotten lol. Everything in nature is interdependent and is more optimal when it enlists the aid of others. She doesn't grow around only other MJ plants in the wild after all :-P

Bumps...I'm trying to figure out wtf you're talking about! High ass! Why are your plants black?

I leaned back in my chair to stretch and I heard "pop pop" and my neck and shoulders just seized up on me. I pulled a muscle at the top of my spine right under the neck. Was In excrutiating pain, couldn't breath without sharp flares of pain, and forget sleeping. I was fricking yelling and screaming as I try to lay down.. hurt that fucking bad. I've had whiplash in my neck before and that didnt make me scream. But that spot right at the top of my spine? Fucking misery.

Had my roomie head up to the store when I couldnt take the pain no more. Figured some warmth might help. Got an Icy hot patch over my shoulder and back and OMFG.

First it started this cold tingling all over my back. It burned almost like a sunburn, but in waves. And it helped me unclench my back muscles. I was asleep in 45 min. Still could barely move, but the tingling kept most of the pain away. THANK GOD FOR ICY HOT!!

The main ingredient is MENTHOL 5%. Menthol.. can you believe that! It lasts for quite a few hours..

One day and two Icy Hot patches later, I am much better. Still can't look down or lay on my back, but I can use my right arm and turn my head again.

SO yeah. Icyhot is the shit. Interestingly, box says to not use more than 3 in a 24hr period.. wonder why..

Menthol is an ingredient known for its cooling and antibacterial properties. It is used in topical preparations to assist their permeation through the surface of the skin. Menthol replaces the pain message with a cooling sensation in order to provide temporary relief from localised pain.Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) was used as a herbal medicine by the ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians. It was also believed that peppermint cleared the mind, reanimated the spirit, and stirred the passions. Menthol is obtained from peppermint oil, or the other various members of the mint family, and looks like a rock crystal when isolated. In 1774, Dutch scientist Hieronym David Gaubius separated colourless crystals known as menthol from peppermint oil. When applied to an affected area in gel form, menthol rapidly cools tendons and muscles. It causes dilation in the blood vessels that carry blood to the joints, increasing blood flow and reducing swelling. The more blood that reaches an injured area, then the more nutrients and oxygen are made available to assist the healing process.

^^ that is awesome. Wonder if i could grow peppermint and just make that into a topical rub..

Peppermint is really, really easy to grow if you've got a few good cuttings. I bought about 5 single cuttings from some website on etsy.com and now have a mini garden full of apple mint, sweet pear mint and lemon mint. If you can grow weed you can grow mint. No idea of making oil from it though, I either dry/crush it and use it for seasoning or add it whole to drinks.

Awww poor baby I'm sorry...hope you feel better! I did an update yesterday, it's on page 71. Then the skunk was updated a couple days ago in Nugbucket's mainlining thread and the Pineapple Express in the simulgrow.

Or you could just use Vick's Vapor Rub or menthalatum....lol. It's only a few dollars at pretty much any supermarket.

For muscle pains, it's amazing to massage with. Even if your pains are from the flu. It also clears up congestion and suppresses coughing when rubbed on your chest. I put a thin layer under my nose when it used to get so congested that I couldn't breathe through it. Haven't been sick in a loooong time though so don't keep it around like that. I don't like to use medication when I'm sick...just vicks and a whole bunch of soup doctored with hot sauce to get decongested. Ever since I stopped taking meds and refusing to get shots, I haven't been sick AT ALL in two years.

Another way to ease your back is to soak in a tub with a cup of sea salts poured into it. They literally draw out the hurt and toxins from your muscles and it's good for your skin. Epsom salt will do a similar job if you can't find sea salt, but sea salt is the best. I've been an athlete my entire life, and there's nothing like crawling into the tub sore as hell, getting out and laying down for 15 minutes, maybe take a nap, and have the majority of the pain gone! Epsom salt is for me and my plants

I know there are a few organic lovers on this thread alongside with me, so I thought I would drop some organic goodness you way. Here is an awesome tidbit from a very interesting article:

Lacto Bacilli

One of the major workhorse beneficial indigenous microorganism used in natural farming is lacto bacilli. This particular beneficial microorganism is popularly used in composting that specifically arrest foul odors associated with anaerobic decomposition. Lactic acid bacteria thrive and feed on the ammonia released in the decomposition normally associated with foul odors. So if you need to decompose or ferment wastes less foul odors, lactic acid bacteria is the specific bacteria to use. Its application in organic farming is enormous. In aquaculture, one of the problem is related to water quality. Poor water quality stresses the fish which in turn stunts their growth and affects their health. This is very evident specially on high density and tank aquaculture. The ammonia produced through fish excretions pollute the water and stress the fish. With regular addition of this beneficial microorganisms to the water, this ammonia problem is minimized, if not fully arrested. It helps hasten or complete the denitrification or converting wastes into forms not harmful to fish.

Spraying diluted solution of lactic acid bacteria serum to the plant and soil helps plant growth and makes them more healthy. As it is applied to the soil or the leaves, these beneficial bacteria aid in the decomposition process, thus allowing more food to be available and assimilated by the plant.

Lactic acid bacteria is also known to produce enzymes and natural antibiotics aiding effective digestion and has antibacterial properties, including control of salmonella and e. coli. To farmers, what are observed are the general health of the plants and animals, better nutrient assimilation, feed conversion and certain toxins eliminations.

Here’s a simple method of collecting this type of microorganism. Lactic acid bacteria can be collected from the air. Pour rice wash (solution generated when you wash the rice with water) on a container like plastic pot with lid. Allow air gap at least 50-75% of the container. The key here is the air space. Cover the (not vacuum tight, allowing air still to move into the container) container with lid loosely. Put the container in a quiet area with no direct sunlight. Allow the rice was to ferment for at least 5-7 days. Lactic acid bacteria will gather in 5-7 days when temperature is 20-25 degrees C. Rice bran will be separated and float in the liquid, like a thin film, smelling sour. Strain and simply get the liquid. Put this liquid in a bigger container and pour ten parts milk. The original liquid has been infected with different type of microbes including lacto bacilli. And in order to get the pure lacto bacilli, saturation of milk will eliminate the other microorganisms and the pure lacto bacilli will be left. You may use skim or powdered milk, although fresh milk is best. In 5-7 days, carbohydrate, protein and fat will float leaving yellow liquid (serum), which contain the lactic acid bacteria. You can dispose the coagulated carbohydrate, protein and fat, add them to your compost pile or feed them to your animals. The pure lactic acid bacteria serum can be stored in the refrigerator or simply add equal amount of crude sugar (dilute with 1/3 water) or molasses. Do not use refined sugar as they are chemically bleached and may affect the lactic acid bacteria. The sugar or molasses will keep the lactic acid bacteria alive at room temperature. One to one ratio is suggested although sugar, regardless of quantity is meant simply, serving as food for the bacteria to keep them alive. Now, these lactic acid bacteria serum with sugar or molasses will be your pure culture. To use, you can dilute this pure culture with 20 parts water. Make sure water is not chemically treated with, like chlorine. Remember, we are dealing with live microorganisms and chlorine can kill them. This diluted form 1:20 ratio will be your basic lactic acid bacteria concoction. Two to four tablespoons added to water of one gallon can be used as your basic spray and can be added to water and feeds of animals. For bigger animals, the 2-4 tablespoons of this diluted lactic acid bacteria serum should be used without diluting it further with water. Lactic acid bacteria serum can be applied to plant leaves to fortify phyllosphere microbes, to soil and compost. Of course, it will help improve digestion and nutrient assimilation for animals and other applications mentioned before. For any kind of imbalance, be it in the soil or digestive system, lacto bacilli can be of help.

One of the popular beneficial microorganism innoculant sfrom Japan (EM) contains lactic acid bacteria as its major component, including photosynthetic bacteria, yeasts, actinomycetes and fermenting fungi. These are pure culture imported from Japan and can be subcultured through the use of sugar or molasses. These other microbes can be cultured in several ways by farmers themselves.

Be honest, did the color change help your eyes? I am high as hell trying to read all that text in black and feel like I'm losing my mind LOL

Here is the link if you think I'm just high as hell and I totally fucked with your eyes instead of making it better

Sourdough starter

1 Cup water
1 Cup flour

Mix together and place bowl, uncovered in a draft free spot for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Pour into large Mason jar, cover with clean dishcloth and place in a warm spot for a week, stirring down daily. A wee bit of sugar (for cheaters) helps. A thin clearish fluid will develop atop this soup. Stir it in. Soon gas bubbles will appear. Ready to use.

Sound familiar? To use it just pour 1 cup of it into some flour to make a thick batter to start your "sponge". Rising times are much longer, the rise not as good as quick yeast breads. Replenish your starter by adding 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup flour and stir.
