I didn't read this thread except the OP and some here and theres so idk if anyone pointed this out (probably? a small fraction of you are above retarded :P)...

But... food aid has really fucked up with the 3rd world when that's all they're given. It's really a fucked up situation and it pulls on your heart strings but sometimes what you want to do isn't always the most responsible thing to do. Think about it this way (and this is gonna sound really fucked up, but hey, I'm gonna it anyways even if I don't like to think about it). If you feed Someone and enable them to live without having to feed themselves and they have children, chances are those children will either grow up the same way or die shortly after birth. I'm not sure what the solution is, not even a little...

idk. It's all about sustainability, but I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to obtain that, wish I did cause I'd be getting paid $$$$

Here are my questions about the tv commercials...
How did the ancestors of these kids live long enough to make more kids...would the issue not have already resolved itself..I mean if there are a people living in an area that can't sustain life, and they have no food they will eventually all die out...so where are these people still coming from anyway...I mean we have seen the whole villages starving kids...so what are they eating that is keeping them just barely alive?
So 100 years ago what were Ethiopians eating? Did someone run off all the surrounding animals so hunting is out? What happened to make these places such a barren wasteland that they can't fish, hunt, or grow something to eat...?

Then again, when i'm high, everything I eat is the best food i've ever eaten. I ate a huge bag of m&m's once when I was really baked, I swear to God they tasted like meatballs. And burnt popcorn...like well seasoned chicken. It's amazing. I love it. Weed makes everything better.

That reminds me of an airline meal i had over 40 years ago ... the steak tasted like potato; the potatoes tasted green and nasty ... but the winner was the green beans. They tasted like steak. Was it because I'd never been so high? cn
