I mean yesterday I got home about an hour after it happened and I'm like wouldn't they have someone wait in case I came home to arrest me or something

It sounds like you got ripped off not raided by the police. You were probably on the right track thinking the police followed you from the hydro store, but it wasn't them it was the rippers.

I was listening to a cop being interrogated in court at a buddy trial & he said that frustrated ex-girlfriend were the best source of info they have, apparently many girls are turning their ex-beau when they realized they don't have access to the $$$$$ anymore & they can't seize child support from a grower unless he as a regular job too.

They left a copy of the search warrant right where my flatscreen was,did I mention they took that also?

And I'm a woman who loves men so there is no ex girlfriends to consider but I agree that is true.

Why in the world would they take your television?
It sounds more & more like a theft that is being covered up with some bogus warrant.

What else is missing?

Are you sure its a real search warrant? does it have a judge's signature at the bottom? taking a flatscreen tv does not sound like its on the up and up...if your grow equipment is gone, and your tv, you might want to check the rest of your place for other missing items. they would have to have some reason (theoretically) to seize your tv--usually as evidence. You should probably take that warrant to a lawyer and try to figure it out because that is just straight theft.

Well then I'm wrong about it being rippers not the police. What does the warrant say?
I think with a bit of research I could gin up a passable looking warrant, complete with a cool sig.
Do you think anyone would call and verify w/ the police after finding that on their living room coffee table?
Now that I think about it, what better way of keeping people from reporting a rip?

A friend of mine went on vacation for a week not long ago, when he was gone the police visited a neighbour of his for something and busted his door in at the same time, they took his Single plant and left paperwork asking him to contact them when he returned. :O

That was just one plant and he contacted them and got a slap on the wrist and agreed to having the plant destroyed.

the only reason they would take the TV is if it was linked to Criminal activity, i.e. stolen goods etc. Or possibly because it was bought from gains of criminal activity but from what you have stated already i don't think the latter is the case.

Hope you get it all cleared up soon and i would stall on the growing for a few months if i were you.

Peace and be Carefull

But what does the warrant say they were looking for? They have to specify on the warrant what they are searching for. Did they really take your TV too?

I know it wasn't which is why I'm trying to figure out how they could have known because I didn't
blow anything like I said I never told anyone ,I don't sell, there was no smell or trash, nothing, the only thing I can think of is they saw me go to the hydro shop It's the only one in my area without driving out of town.
Going to the hydro store isn't enough...I go to my local store all the time...it isn't illegal, and they don't sell anything that is illegal...

no name but with an addy? thats sounding less legit. Sounds more like someone who doesn't know your name but followed you from the hydro store went in with a phony warrant and ripped you off to be honest...but again, cops can be somewhat dirty too:

If you're growing in an illegal state, i would say fuck it, move if you feel the need to, and get up and running again--as carefully and safely as possible though
If you're in a legal state and aren't compliant, i would say go get compliant then follow up with a lawyer and try to sort it out so you can get your tv back.
If you're in a legal state and are compliant, i would march in to the police office with a photocopy of the warrant left and demand to speak with the magistrate, give him or her a huge piece of my mind, and demand the information about where your tv is, then threaten to file countersuit for violating 4th amendment requirements--your name has to be on the warrant.
be easy

yeah... sounds like you got scammed...

that is pretty damn fishy.. the tv thing just sets it off. like another person said, what did it specify on the warrant? it is true there must be something specifically listed. the smaller the item is the more latitude they get. for example if its a warrant for weed you can put weed any where so your house is gonna get torn up in that search.. if they are looking for a stolen tv, walking through a house for just a minute or two would tell you what you needed. its tricky but its how the game works.
