70w HPS micro scrog strain ideas?

Hey guys,

Im going to be starting up a 70w hps 2 plant PC scrog, pretty sure im going to go with autos like my last 2 grows for the fast turnaround time and small size although im open to suggestions of doing photo's

My last two grows (Critical + auto, and Thunder bloody mary) have yielded well, got me nice and high, but have totally lacked in the fragrance department after a brief cure.

What strains would you guys recommend that are gonna give me nice high quality, stinky buds?

On my maybe list so far:

Pineapple express - Barneys farm
Little Cheese - Barneys farm
AutoBlueberry - Dutch passion
Also considering lowryders of all types

Hi MorroN, I'am just in the beginning stages of building a 100W HPS Scrog mini-cab, but only plan to have 1 plant on the go.. maybe it'd be cool to compare builds/grows etc ? - Ztelthy

I'll definitely be starting a journal when it gets going, will be mid-late september. Are you doing 1 photo and vegging it to fill the screen then flower?

Yeah, I'll be doing just the one plant, will Veg the plants for 6 weeks and train her under my SCROG screen once she reaches 7" then once the screen is 1/4 full I'll throw her into flower to fill out the rest of the screen - Ztelthy

Sounds like you're onto a winner there mate, I need to get a harvest before christmas as I'll be staying with my parents for a few weeks so I've only got 12 weeks maximum so If I did a photo I wouldnt be able to veg for long!

I checked out the link in your sig, that cool tube is genius Im not planning on using one. How do you plan to mount the bulb holder in the tube?

Cheers dude, I think I'll prob use an old baked bean can or summink, and use tin-snips to make the support and then attach the lamp mogule to that I want minimal clutter in the tube so air-flow will be as stream-line as poss - ZTELTHY

I have a150watt in a 1.5'x1.5'x4' with a cooltube and a170--180 cfm fan and its hard to get to 80 and outside tent 70-75, and I do have a ducket fan pulling cool air in the tent??

Heres a few pics of my case before the hps went in, as you can see there is very little light leakage!

I dont think I'll have many problems keeping it cool, its a very well ventilated case with 2x12cm fans on the front for intake and I have a monster of a pc fan for exhaust (scythe gentle typhoon 5400rpm on a speed controller, honestly its a BEAST) and I'll be dealing with very low ambient temps as im in the uk, september to december its rarely gonna get over 20 celcius. Also I can mount the ballast on the rear of the case externally. If it gets too hot i'll consider putting in a length of glass and installing a fan in the currently vacant top slot but I'd need to be creative to stop light leaks through it.
