Nute burn! Been thru it before but not like this

Drainage is great. She usually doesnt tend to really soak them every day, running a gallon or a bit more through ten gallon pots daily, and two plus gallons thru the twenty gallon ones, but that may change, when flushing LOTS of water through the seem to go through a growth spurt. When it's in the upper nineties to low one hundreds they need a morning and afternoon watering, so it may be a real drenching daily is in order.

I was just coming in to post something I just found out. Although the pics I have seen of cal mag deficiency don't look exactly like this issue, it is similar. I just checked the water district that supplies the water there, and the website says it is very soft water because of low amounts of cal mag. So that may be involved in all this. Told her to add some, we will see?

Me neither, it just looks similar. Originally last Monday,mthere were some rust areas in the leaves. At that point it looked like a bit if nute burn. They are just beginning to show white hairs, which she theorized the need for N wasnt as great as before, causing the burn. We stopped feeding and flushed. Then a few days later that mid leaf yellowing started, and eventually turned to that bleached look.

Haven't given them anything but water since, but I'm thinking some type of deficiency or lockout. Today or tomorrow we may try more compost tea and maybe a bit of cal mag. It's just such a unique problem, three hydro stores looked at the pics and none could offer a definite diagnosis

lol I've been looking too.....I'm very interested in finding the cause of these 'bleach spots" as well because I have never even HEARD of this.

Thanks. I can't tell by the pics in that link if he has powedery mildew or they are bleach spots. I do know what powdery mildew looks like, fortunately it's rare in outdoor grows unless there is loads of humidity

 

[Nutes and Nugs]

My last few indoor grows have done the same thing. In flowering with 4 weeks to go some get rusty edges then turns to yellow spots then the whole leaf turns yellow. Last week I gave them a double dose of flower nutes and it certainly didnt help.
Other times I gave some veg nutes, molasses or just water, still the same results.
For me, it seems to happen on the left side of my room so light could be a problem.
They only have about 2 weeks to go so I'm not too worried. This is a Blueberry plant and the original showed no signs of rust or yellowing.
Blueberry seems to take a bit longer to mature so I may keep this plant in 3 more weeks or more. (if it lives that long)

That's a deficiency that you have. Don't have the link handy but there is a chart showing what certain deficiencies look like. Based on memory, that may be cal mag def

LESS IS MORE. People have a tendency to want to add every additive there is on the market in order to get bigger buds. I keep refering to my avatar. Natures blend five ounces per five gallon bucket of water, ph down, hydro shield. THAT'S IT, three things for the entire grow. If you want yields that are big I can gaurantee you that light management is going to do more for you then any of the answers in a bottle. That's also a great exaample why hydro is my choice, I can have any nute problems resolved in an hour by draining and flushing. I doubt it's a def of anything, most likely a burn all be it a strange one. LESS IS MORE, back off and see what happens. How is your temp and humidity? also C02?

So the lady who's grow I am helping with called me the other day about what appeared to be the start of nute burn. She had been feeding two teaspoons of Grow Big per gallon every four days for the past month, all good, but on Tuesday some rust colored spots started showing up. I went over to look, and that is exactly what I experienced in the past. I guess they suddenly had enough, and may be also flipping to flower and not needing as much N.

We ran gallons of water thru the pots, them some Sledgehammer, then more water. I know slight burn will end up frying the leaves even after flushing,mso we didn't expect the fucked up leaves to recover. She called earlier today and said the problem appears worse. Just left there after we ran some more water through.

Here are a few pics, they give you an idea of what most everything looks like. There are new yellow spots appearing, what was brown is turning white. I'm hoping what we are seeing is the results of the original damage and that they will recover. Anyone else dealt with this type of burn? Anything else we can do, or just

I'm concerned the yellowing means there is a deficiency now, but am hesitant to add anything at the moment. There was no yellowing at first, just the rust spots that spread and burned.

Its outdoors in Ocean Forest. Nor Cal, typical summer days in the 90's and low 100's. No new damage showing, but as I said, its happened a few months ago as well. Half doses of Grow Big, and now half or less TIger Bloom as they show signs of flowering.

After last week's flush, nothing but water for 5 days, and now Vermi T and re adding SMALL doses of Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, maybe every four days.
