Drainage is great. She usually doesnt tend to really soak them every day, running a gallon or a bit more through ten gallon pots daily, and two plus gallons thru the twenty gallon ones, but that may change, when flushing LOTS of water through the seem to go through a growth spurt. When it's in the upper nineties to low one hundreds they need a morning and afternoon watering, so it may be a real drenching daily is in order.
I was just coming in to post something I just found out. Although the pics I have seen of cal mag deficiency don't look exactly like this issue, it is similar. I just checked the water district that supplies the water there, and the website says it is very soft water because of low amounts of cal mag. So that may be involved in all this. Told her to add some, we will see?
